Protection from spiritual attacks

We stand with you in this battle, dear brother or sister in Christ, for we know that the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). These relentless attacks on your body and mind, these disturbances in your sleep, are not merely coincidences or products of stress, they are spiritual warfare. But take heart, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

First, we must rebuke these attacks in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus is not a magical incantation, but the very power by which all things were created and by which all evil must flee. We command every spirit of fear, torment, sleeplessness, and oppression to leave you now, in the name of Jesus. The Word declares, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). You are not fighting alone; we stand with you in this resistance.

We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs. The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, are your protection. Do not neglect this spiritual discipline. Speak the Word over your life, declare Scripture aloud, and stand firm in your identity as a child of God. The enemy seeks to wear you down, but God’s Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).

We must also address the possibility of any open doors in your life that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Have you allowed bitterness, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin to linger? The Bible warns, "Do not give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4:27). Examine your heart before the Lord, and if there is anything that needs to be surrendered, do so without delay. Confess it, repent, and receive God’s forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which every knee must bow. We thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). Lord, we stand on Your promise that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that ### is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we plead the blood over their mind, body, and spirit.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, sleeplessness, and oppression that has been attacking ###. We command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We break every assignment of the enemy against ###’s sleep, health, and peace. We cancel every curse, every lie, and every attack in the name of Jesus.

Lord, we ask You to surround ### with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11-12, that they will lift ### up in their hands so that ### will not strike their foot against a stone. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard ###’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill ### with Your Holy Spirit, that they may rest in You and find strength in Your presence.

We also ask You to reveal any areas in ###’s life where the enemy may have gained access. Show them any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin, and grant them the grace to repent and walk in Your light. Cleanse them, Lord, and renew a steadfast spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).

Father, we thank You that You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4). We trust You to watch over ### day and night. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in Your truth. Remind them that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We declare that ### is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We speak life, health, and peace over their body and mind. May they experience the fullness of Your presence and the victory that is already theirs in Jesus Christ.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand firm, dear one. The battle is real, but the victory is already won. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone, we are with you, and more importantly, God is with you.

We hear how weary you must be facing these relentless pressures on body and mind, especially at night. Going without steady sleep wears down every part of life, and we understand why you are asking so urgently for protection and rest.

We want to walk with you in this. Sleep is not a small thing to God, it is part of how He renews us, and when it is disturbed it makes every spiritual and emotional battle feel heavier. You are not alone in this struggle, and God is not distant from you in the night hours.

A few steady steps that have helped others we pray with:

Invite one or two trusted believers to pray with you regularly, so you are not carrying this alone and others can stand with you.

Consider a simple, quiet rhythm before bed, turning off screens early, keeping the room calm, and taking a few moments to commit the day and night to the Lord in prayer.

Since disturbed sleep affects both body and mind, it can also help to talk with your doctor or a trusted clinician alongside prayer, just to make sure you are cared for in every way.

Father, we lift them to You right now. Surround them with Your presence, guard their mind and body, and grant them peace through the night. Give wisdom to those supporting them and lead them into deeper rest and strength in You. In Jesus name, Amen.

We join with you in prayer before our gracious God who neither slumbers nor sleeps in His watch over His people, and who has promised to be a refuge and defence to those who trust in Him.

Your distress in body and mind, and the brokenness of your sleep, is not unseen by the Lord. The Scripture says, For so he giveth his beloved sleep. Sleep is the gift of God, and He who stilled the storm upon the sea, though He seemed to sleep in the vessel, was even then caring for His disciples and had power to rebuke the wind and wave. So still He watches over you. Though the enemy would harass and disturb, our Lord Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death and all the powers of darkness, and He will not suffer the least of His sheep to be plucked from His hand.

Let us pray together.

O Heavenly Father, we come to Thee in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, our only Saviour and our Shepherd. We ask for Thy protection over this Thy child who is pressed by relentless assaults upon body and mind. Cover with the blood of Christ and with Thy mighty hand. Put upon this soul the whole armour of God, that he may stand against the wiles of the devil. Grant rebuke to every evil influence and every disturbance, and command peace within. Forgive all sin, strengthen faith, and let Thy Holy Spirit bring calm to the thoughts and rest to the body. Give quiet sleep as Thou givest to Thy beloved, and let the night be guarded by Thy presence, that waking and sleeping this soul may be kept in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee. Restore strength, renew the mind by Thy Word, and let Christ be known as near and mighty to save. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord, who liveth and reigneth and who is our protection and our song. Amen.

Take courage and keep close to Christ in prayer and in the Word. Seek Him morning and evening, cast every care upon Him, and remember that He who watches Israel will watch over you. When sleep is broken, turn your heart to Him who is your keeper, for He is not indifferent to your trial but is full of real care for His people even when the storm rages. May the Lord grant you rest, and may you find that His grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for protection from relentless attacks on body and mind and disturbance in sleep has been heard, and I am praying with you now.

Scripture reminds us that the Lord who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and His watch over you does not fail when night comes. He gave sleep as a gift and a healing for our weakness, a haven after the toils of the day. When sleep is troubled and the mind is pressed, it is right to turn to Him who alone can guard both body and soul.

We are also called to guard ourselves and to watch and be sober. To watch does not mean only to stay awake with the eyes, but to keep the soul awake toward God, sober and clear from the drunkenness that sin and anxiety and worldly cares bring. The enemy often presses hardest when we feel alone and scattered, and for that reason God has given us fellowship with one another and the steady practices of prayer, hearing His Word, and calling on the name of Jesus. To remain steadfast and unmovable in Christ, to bring every fearful thought into His light, and to seek the company of faithful believers, are ways He strengthens us against attack.

So I encourage you to keep a simple pattern in these days. Bring your cares to God honestly before sleep in prayer, let His Word dwell in your mind more than anxious thoughts, and do not remain isolated but stay close to the fellowship of the church. If burdens of the day press on you, lay them down before Him, for He is able to keep what you entrust to Him.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this dear one to You. You see the attacks felt in body and mind and the brokenness of sleep. Cover this life with Your protection. Grant peace to the mind, strength to the body, and quiet, restful sleep according to Your mercy. Guard the heart from fear and confusion, and teach us to watch and be sober, standing firm in faith. Let Your presence be a shield through the night and through the day, and let no weapon formed against Your child prosper. Fill this home with Your peace, and let Your Spirit bring comfort and sound rest. We ask this trusting in Jesus alone, our hope and our keeper. Amen.
