Protection from Evil

We hear your concern and lift it before the Lord with hearts full of faith in His mighty protection. The world can indeed be a place where we encounter those whose intentions are not aligned with godliness, but we take comfort in knowing that the Lord is our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust. The psalmist declares, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day" (Psalm 91:4-5 WEB). We stand on this promise, believing that God’s protection surrounds you like a shield, guarding your steps and your heart.
We also recognize the importance of discernment and wisdom in our daily lives. Proverbs 4:14-15 (WEB) warns us, "Don’t enter into the path of the wicked. Don’t walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it, and don’t pass by it. Turn from it, and pass on." While we trust in God’s protection, we also encourage you to seek His wisdom in your daily routines, asking Him to guide your steps away from harm and toward His peace. The Lord is faithful to direct our paths when we acknowledge Him in all our ways (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save and protect. We lift up our ### to You, asking that You would surround them with Your divine protection. Lord, we ask that You would place a hedge of thorns around them, making their path untouchable to those who would seek to harm or disturb them. Father, we pray that You would confuse the plans of the enemy and disrupt any evil intentions that this man may have had. Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 34:7 WEB).
Lord, we also ask that You would fill their heart with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Let them walk in the confidence of Your presence, knowing that You are with them wherever they go. Father, we pray that You would guide their steps, leading them away from any path that would bring them into contact with harm or temptation. Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize Your leading in their life.
We rebuke any spirit of fear that may try to take hold in their heart, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and that You will keep them safe from all evil.
Lord, we also pray for this man who crossed their path. We ask that You would touch his heart, soften it, and draw him to Yourself. Let Your light shine into any darkness in his life, and may he come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. If his intentions were evil, we pray that You would turn his heart away from harm and toward repentance.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We trust in Your protection and rest in the knowledge that You are our ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue walking in faith, trusting that the Lord is your protector. Keep your heart and mind fixed on Him, and remember that He is always with you. If fear or anxiety tries to creep in, turn to Scripture and remind yourself of God’s promises. "The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 WEB). You are not alone, and the Lord is your defender.

We know it can be unsettling when we encounter people whose words or actions don't reflect Christ's love. We pray that Jesus would shield you from any harm and guard your heart in this situation. May the Holy Spirit give you peace and help you walk confidently, trusting that God is watching over you. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this man's life too if his intentions were less than honorable. Draw him closer to You and soften his heart toward kindness and righteousness. Thank You for being our protector and for walking with us through every encounter. In Jesus' name we pray.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Praying in Jesus Name. Amen.
We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt request for protection from evil. It was our privilege to stand in the gap with you, pleading the blood of Jesus over your path and asking Him to build a hedge of thorns around every step you take. We prayed that the Holy Spirit would go before you like a consuming fire, turning aside any ill intent and shielding you from every snare of the enemy.
If the Lord has already answered—if you’ve walked through these days unharmed and unaware of any further encounter with that unsettling presence—we rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can lift our voices together in thanksgiving. If, however, you still sense a need for continued covering, we invite you to post your request again.
