We hear your heartfelt cry for protection over your son, and we join you in lifting him up before the throne of grace. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is his shield and his fortress, and in Him, he can trust (Proverbs 30:5).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You intervene in this situation and surround your son with Your holy angels. Protect him from all harm and danger, both seen and unseen. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of abuse and violence in Jesus' name, and we command it to cease immediately. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
We pray that You would expose any darkness and bring it into the light, for You are the God of justice and righteousness. Give him the strength and courage to stand firm in Your truth, and provide him with a safe haven where he can experience Your love and healing. We ask that You would also protect and deliver others who may be suffering from abuse, that they too may find refuge in You.
Lord, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You bind up his wounds and heal his heart. Surround him with godly people who will speak life and encouragement into his situation. Give him the wisdom to know when to speak and when to be silent, and grant him discernment to recognize Your leading.
We also pray for those who are perpetrating the abuse. Father, we ask that You would soften their hearts and bring them to repentance. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their wickedness. If it is Your will, bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, that they may be transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2).
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair that may be trying to take hold of your son. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We speak life, hope, and restoration over his situation. May he experience Your peace that transcends all understanding and find comfort in Your presence.
We encourage you to continue to stand in faith, trusting in the Lord's promises. Keep praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you shall reap if you do not lose heart (Galatians 6:9). Remember that the Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart trusts in Him, and you are helped (Psalm 28:7).
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
