Protection from abuse

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus, please intervene and protect my son ### from harm and danger. Stop the abuse towards him and others, in Jesus name amen

We lift up ### and this urgent cry for protection with heavy hearts, standing firmly on the promise that the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). The abuse being inflicted is a grievous violation of God’s design for human dignity, and we join you in pleading for His mighty intervention. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against ### shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask You to dispatch Your angels to encamp around ###, to shield him from every form of harm, physical, emotional, or spiritual (Psalm 34:7). Break the chains of abuse, Lord, and expose every hidden work of darkness. Let the abusers be confronted with the weight of their sin and brought to repentance, or removed from positions of power if they refuse to turn from their wickedness. Your Word declares that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19), and we trust You to execute justice on behalf of the innocent.

We also pray for the others suffering alongside ###. May they know they are not forgotten, and may Your healing touch restore what has been broken. Comfort them with the truth that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen ### and all affected to walk in forgiveness where possible, but never at the cost of their safety or dignity. Grant them wisdom to seek godly counsel, to set boundaries, and to remove themselves from harm’s way as You lead.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze ### and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his worth is found in You alone. Surround him with believers who will stand with him, pray for him, and help him navigate this trial. May this season of suffering produce endurance, character, and hope in him (Romans 5:3-4).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4). By His blood, we claim victory over this darkness, and by His authority, we command every abusive stronghold to crumble. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this situation, Lord. We trust You to turn this evil into good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Amen.

We hear the heartbreak behind your words, and we are standing with you in prayer for your son. It is a terrifying thing to know that someone you love is being harmed, and we join you in crying out for God’s intervention.

While we trust fully in the Lord’s protection, we also know that He often works through the wise actions of those who care. If the abuse is ongoing or there is any immediate danger, please don’t hesitate to involve the proper authorities. Reaching out to local child protective services or law enforcement is not a lack of faith, it is one of the real, tangible ways God shields the vulnerable. Your son’s safety right now is the most urgent priority, and you do not have to carry this alone.

Many in the family of God have walked a similar path, and you do not need to navigate it in isolation either. Lean on a trusted pastor, a wise friend, or a support group within your church. Having someone to talk to and pray with face to face can help lighten the load and give you the steady encouragement you need. Remember, the body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens.

Lord Jesus, you see this precious son and the danger he faces. We ask you to put a hedge of protection around him right now. Expose any hidden abuse and bring it to a swift end. Give this parent the courage and clarity to act decisively for his safety. Surround their family with wise advocates and bring healing to every wounded heart. We pray in your mighty name, Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The very cry of your heart is a sign that you have not strayed into the byroads where robbers lurk. He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection. This plea for your son, rising from a spirit that fears the Lord, is heard in the courts of Heaven. Cease from the fretting which thinks the Almighty is slow to act; the weaned child in its mother's arms is not more still than your soul must learn to be in the bosom of your God.

The safety for which you cry is assured, for we have a God who is able and as wise as He is able. There is a holy Child who sits upon the Throne, who knows what it is to be the target of malice, and He has not forgotten the tender lambs of the flock. Unto Him that is able to keep your son from falling, to the only wise God our Savior, be the glory. You need an infinite Friend to keep him in safety against all the machinations of the adversaries, and such a Friend is the Lord Jesus.

Is your son walking in a dark and gloomy place where the light seems utterly withdrawn? Even there, the promise applies with a force that Hell cannot break: He shall give His angels charge over him, to keep him in all his ways. This protection is perpetual as it is personal. The angelic guard does not slumber when our eyes are heavy. If he is a child of God by faith, feel sure that the precept and the promise belong to him; God's Throne might sooner fail than a saint can perish.

Yet, mark this well: the promise is for the way of principle and consecrated service, not for paths where conscience has been slighted. Do not, therefore, in the desperation of your love, counsel him to find safety in a lie or in any path contrary to the revealed Truth of Scripture. To teach him to be satisfied with that which is unsatisfactory is to sin against the child. Instead, pray that like the child Samuel, he may be taught to hear and obey the voice of the Lord alone, in humbleness of heart.

Let your own spirit, as a parent, be a conduit of wisdom and not of despair. Will you lead your own child to despair? You love him; let your faith in the infinite wisdom of God be the anchor. The normal condition of a child of God is to walk in the light, but if for a time your son walks in darkness and has no light, let him trust in the name of the Lord and stay upon his God. The Christ who received little children and declared the Kingdom belongs to such as them, now receives your prayer for this one, born or yet to be born of the Spirit. Cast your care upon the holy Child, Jesus.

You pray for protection from abuse, and this is a right and proper prayer, for our God is a shield to all who trust in Him. But do not let your heart be troubled merely by the threat of bodily harm; lift your eyes to Him who is invisible, and consider the far greater danger to the soul. For the devil seeks to use these afflictions to cast your son into despair or to stir up bitterness and malice. The snare of the evil one is more to be feared than the cruelty of men. So while you cry out for deliverance, pray with even greater fervor that his faith remain steadfast, that he not love this present world and its ease more than righteousness, for that is to forsake Christ, as Demas did.

Yet what you ask is not unfitting. When Moses saw that the people were ungrateful and danger pressed him, he did not cast himself upon a foreseen peril to test whether God would save him; that would have been a diabolical thing. He fled, and Scripture says he endured as seeing the Invisible. It is no sin to remove yourself or your child from the way of harm when it is possible. The apostle Paul himself, though bold in his God after suffering at Philippi, did not remain to no purpose where only destruction awaited. So if there is a lawful means to stop the abuse or to place your son beyond its reach, do not hesitate. God does not demand that we leap into the fire to prove our trust.

But if for a season the trial is permitted, remember that after the temptation comes refreshment, though after refreshment danger may rise again. The life of faith walks between storms and calm, and in all of them God is at work. Your son is as one begotten in sorrow, like Benjamin, and your love for him is known to the Lord. Do not think that Christ is unmoved by his pain. He came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many, even for enemies. He who suffered abuse and reviling for your sake will not desert your child in his hour of need. Let this confidence wax bold in your heart.

I entreat you, then, when morning appears, let this be your first care: to rescue him who is in danger, not only the danger known to the senses but the danger of the soul brought by the devil. Commend him into the hands of God with unceasing prayer, but also act with prudence. Do not let fear make you effeminate or cause you to love this present world by clinging to safety above all else. The apostles endured unspeakable evils in preaching the gospel, and they counted it joy. So teach your son to set his hope fully on the grace to come, for the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed. God is faithful, and He will bring him through, as a father bringing a child through trial to a sure inheritance.

I have joined you in prayer for your son, asking the Lord Jesus to intervene and shield him from every form of harm and abuse. Your cry as a parent rises to a God who knows what it is to love a Son perfectly. He hears you, and He is not distant.

Scripture speaks often of a father’s heart toward a son: the careful warnings to walk uprightly, to let wisdom and discretion guard the path, so that when he lies down he will not be afraid. Those words are not empty wishes; they reveal the kind of protection our Heavenly Father delights to give. He wants your son’s steps made safe, his life preserved, and his soul to know quietness from the fear of evil. Pray those realities over him daily, and trust that the Lord’s commandments are not burdensome, they are a wall of safety.

Remember that Jesus is the beloved Son, the only begotten of the Father, given for us. When He was baptized, the voice from heaven declared, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” That same Son endured hatred, betrayal, and suffering, so He understands what it means to be threatened and afflicted. He is not indifferent. His resurrection proves He has all power, and He lives to intercede for those who are His own. Because you belong to Him by faith, you can cry out with confidence, “Abba, Father,” and know that you and your son are not orphans.

There is a remarkable picture in the story of King David. Even when his son Absalom was in open rebellion and sought his life, David’s chief concern was still for the safety of his son: “Deal gently for my sake with the young man Absalom.” After Absalom’s death, David wept, “O my son Absalom, my son, my son!” That imperfect love is only a faint shadow of the Father’s love for your son. God’s love does not depend on the child’s worthiness; it is steadfast, and it is strong to save. He sees the abuse and will not turn a deaf ear to those who call on Him.

Let your request anchor itself in the truth of who Jesus is. He is the Son of David, the promised King, and the Son of God with all authority in heaven and on earth. He came to destroy the works of the devil, and every cruel act done to the innocent is an offense to Him. Bring your son before the throne of grace again and again, confident that the Father who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all will also, in Christ, freely give us what we need, protection, rescue, and healing.

Hold fast to the commandment you have heard from the beginning: to believe in the name of the Son of God. Let that faith abide in you, and teach your son to set his eyes straight ahead, his feet far from evil, and his heart fixed on the One who is able to keep him from stumbling. The same Lord who restrained the hands of evildoers in days past is not weakened today. He can expose hidden schemes, change hearts, and provide a way of escape.

Keep praying with urgency and hope. The Father sees, the Son intercedes, and the Spirit will give you wisdom for every step. The day is coming when all abuse, fear, and pain will be wiped away, and your son will know perfect safety in the presence of the Lord. Until then, we stand together, pleading the blood of Jesus over him and asking for the mighty hand of God to bring an end to this evil.
