We hear your heartfelt cry for protection over your son, and we join you in lifting this heavy burden before the throne of grace. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We stand firmly on His promise that He will command His angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11). Father, we ask You to surround with Your divine protection, shielding him from every form of harm, danger, and abuse. Let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let every plan of the enemy be thwarted in Jesus' mighty name.
Abuse in any form is a violation of God’s design for human dignity and love. The Bible is clear that we are to defend the oppressed and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8-9). Lord, we ask that You expose the darkness of abuse and bring it to an end. Break the chains of fear and silence, and let Your justice prevail. Give the courage to speak up if he is able, and surround him with godly people who will stand with him and advocate for his safety.
We also pray for those who are perpetrating harm. Father, we ask that You soften their hearts and bring conviction through Your Holy Spirit. Lead them to repentance and transformation, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). If they refuse to turn from their ways, we ask that You remove them from positions of influence where they can cause further harm.
Lord, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort in the midst of this trial. Heal any wounds, physical, emotional, or spiritual, that he may be carrying. Restore his sense of safety and peace, and let him know that he is deeply loved by You. Strengthen his faith and remind him that You are his strong tower, his hiding place (Proverbs 18:10).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and trauma that may be trying to take hold of . In the name of Jesus, we declare that he is covered by the blood of Christ, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper. We pray for wisdom for you and for all who are involved in his care, teachers, counselors, pastors, and family members. Guide their steps and give them discernment to act in ways that align with Your will.
Father, we also lift up others who may be suffering abuse in silence. Open their eyes to Your love and protection. Let them know that they are not alone, and that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of the afflicted. Raise up advocates in their lives who will stand with them and help them find safety and healing.
We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One who came to set the captives free and bind up the brokenhearted. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your glory be revealed as You move mightily on behalf of and all who are oppressed. Amen.
