Praying for ### and husband

I have brought this marriage before the Lord, asking him to intervene where no human effort can reach. The division and strife in that home are not what God designed marriage to be. From the beginning, marriage was meant to be one man and one woman bound together for life. The husband is commanded to love his wife as Christ loved the church, and he is not to put her away. When a husband leaves to seek a new partner, he is not exploring freedom; he is stepping outside the clear boundary God established. So I am praying for his conscience to be awakened and for him to turn back before more damage is done.

I am also praying for the wife. I ask the Lord to hold her steady, to comfort her, and to keep her love from becoming despair. Her desire for restoration is right, and Scripture points toward reconciliation. The wife is not to leave her husband, but if a separation comes, she is to remain unmarried or be reconciled to him. That means the goal is not simply moving on; it is restoring what God joined together. But that restoration must come through repentance, not through pretending his pursuit of another relationship is acceptable.

I am asking God to break the spirit of division over this family, to protect them from further harm, and to bring this husband to the end of himself. My prayer is that their home would become a harmony again instead of a contest, and that Christ would be the center of it. May the Lord turn his heart back to his wife, renew their covenant, and restore joy where there is now sorrow.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with this heavy burden on your heart, and we want you to know that we have been lifting you, your sister, and her family before the throne of grace every day since you shared this request. Our hearts ache with yours as we pray for the spirit of division and strife to be broken in Jesus’ mighty name. We have asked the Lord to soften her husband’s heart, to open his eyes to the love and family he is walking away from, and to draw him back with a renewed spirit of commitment and faithfulness. We have also prayed for your sister—that she would feel God’s peace that surpasses all understanding, that she would stand firm in her faith, and that she would be surrounded by His strength as she waits and trusts in Him.

If the Lord has moved in this situation in ways you’ve already seen, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to others walking through similar trials. If, however, the answer hasn’t yet come, or if the battle feels even harder now, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to stand with you, to intercede, and to believe with you for restoration. God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, and we are trusting Him to work all things together for good.

May the Lord fill you and your family with His presence, His comfort, and His hope as you continue to seek Him. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus, our Redeemer and Restorer. Amen.
