Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and letting us pray with you. Waiting through delays and setbacks, especially when so much is tied to timing and finances, is heavy, and the Lord sees the weight you are carrying for your home, your son, and your husband.
Scripture often calls us to wait upon God and to wait upon His time, with confidence that He will work. That waiting is not empty or passive, it is a steady hope that God is at work even when we cannot see movement. James gives that exhortation to be patient and to establish your souls, because the Lord is patient as He waits for the complete fruit of the harvest. In the same way, the early believers were described as waiting for God's Son from heaven, laboring in love and continuing in the work of faith while they waited for His deliverance. God invites us to that same kind of patient trust, believing that He is faithful and that His timing is purposeful, even when answers seem slow to come.
He also cares about your practical needs. The Bible shows us believers who went through severe financial hardship and desperate need, and God did not overlook them. He moved to provide and to sustain them, and He taught His people to trust Him with their needs and to put Him first. Your financial pressures, the waiting for the house to sell, the provision for your son, and the long wait for the disability decision are all known to Him. He is near to those who call on Him, and He is able to lift up and sustain you through this season.
We join you in prayer now. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this family before You. We ask for Your provision and Your perfect timing over the sale of both homes, that if it is Your will You would open the way for the buyers to sell quickly and for this transition to go smoothly. We pray for their son, for Your hand upon his work and for opportunity for promotion as You see fit. We pray for the disability claim, for favor and for a clear and timely decision, and for strength and peace in the waiting after so many setbacks. Give this family patience, established hearts, and confident trust that You are working for their good. Provide for their needs and let them know Your presence and comfort each day. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
