We join you in thanksgiving before the Lord for His continued mercy and faithfulness to you and your son, for we know that in everything we are to give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you, 1 Thessalonians 5:18. We praise God with you for His protection and for the wisdom and strength He has already shown, and we continue to lift you both up together in Jesus' name.
We pray for the discernment, guidance, wisdom, knowledge and strength you have asked for. Scripture assures us that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him, James 1:5. We ask the Father to fill you and your son with that generous wisdom and with clear discernment for every decision you face. We pray you will trust in Yahweh with all your heart and not lean on your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6. May He strengthen you when you feel weak, for He has said do not be afraid, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, yes I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.
We stand with you in claiming the promise of protection over you and your son, that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment, this is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, Isaiah 54:17. We ask the Lord to encamp His angels around you, to guard your going out and your coming in, and to keep you from all evil, Psalm 121:7-8, and we pray that the Lord will guard you from the evil one and establish you, 2 Thessalonians 3:3.
We also lift up your jobs and the high pressure and potential burnout you are both experiencing. The Lord knows the weight you carry and He invites you to come to Him. Jesus said come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28. We pray you will cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and that in nothing you will be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We ask God to give you both boundaries, rest, renewal and favor in your workplaces, that you may work heartily as unto the Lord and not grow weary in doing good, Galatians 6:9, and that He would provide times of refreshing so your strength is renewed like the eagle's, Isaiah 40:31.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and our prayers are heard, Romans 10:9. We encourage you to continue to bring every request before God in the precious name of Jesus.
Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this parent and this son. We thank You for Your hand of protection upon them and we ask that You continue to cover them, let no weapon formed against them prosper, let no scheme of the enemy succeed. Pour out upon them wisdom, knowledge, discernment and guidance for every step, strengthen them in body, mind and spirit, and guard them from exhaustion and burnout at work. Give them rest, peace, and joy in their labor, establish the work of their hands, and let Your favor be upon them. Draw them both ever closer to Jesus, that they may know Him more deeply and trust Him fully. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
