We hear your heart for protection over yourself and your son and we join with you in seeking the Lord together for His covering, wisdom and provision.

We are reminded of His promises to be our refuge and fortress. Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. And Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. We cling to Isaiah 54:17 which says No weapon that is formed against you will prevail. This is the assurance we have not because of any formula but because of the power and faithfulness of God who watches over His children.

We also hear your desire for discernment, guidance, wisdom, strength and knowledge for both you and your son. The Lord delights to give these things when we ask Him. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Psalm 32:8 says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. And Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Isaiah 41:10 says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We understand the burden you carry regarding work and finances and the desire to leave your current place and find an opportunity you can look forward to. We pray the Lord will open the right door in His timing and provide for all your needs. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We encourage you to continue to be diligent and faithful where you are while you seek new opportunity, trusting that God sees your situation with managers, coworkers, neighbors, family and even trespassers, and that He is able to protect your peace and your boundaries. We also encourage practical wisdom alongside prayer, locking doors, documenting concerns, seeking godly counsel and appropriate help from authorities or leadership when needed, while keeping your heart free from fear or bitterness.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior if you have not already, and to come to God in His name, for He is our mediator, protector and provider.

We pray together for you and your son now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this parent and this son to You. We ask for Your divine protection over them in their home, at work, at school and wherever they go. Keep them from harm from any trespassers, neighbors, coworkers, family members or managers who may mean harm or cause strife. Let no weapon formed against them prosper and let every tongue that rises against them be shown to be in the wrong. Surround them with Your angels as Psalm 91:11 says He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Give them discernment to recognize what is good and what is harmful, guidance for each decision, wisdom beyond their own understanding, strength for each day and knowledge that comes from You. Provide for them financially according to Your riches, open a new opportunity for work that is good and life giving where this parent can use the gifts You have given and provide well for the family. If it is Your will, make a way to leave the current place of work in peace and with Your blessing. Guard their hearts from fear and anxiety and fill them with Your peace. Draw both mother or father and son closer to You through Jesus Christ and help them to walk in Your ways all the days of their lives. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our refuge and our hope, Amen.

We hear how much you are carrying right now, wanting to feel safe with your son and also longing for a way forward at work. Feeling pressed from so many directions at once, neighbors, coworkers, family and managers, can be exhausting, and it makes sense you are asking for protection, wisdom and a fresh opportunity.

We are praying for you both, for your safety and peace at home and for clear discernment as you make decisions. For the work situation you mentioned, one steady next step that often helps is to talk it through with one trusted adviser who knows you well, someone who can help you sort what you are good at, what kind of work would be a better fit, and what one or two practical moves to explore this week might be, like updating a resume or asking about openings. You do not have to figure the whole future at once, just the next faithful step.

We also want to encourage you that God sees your desire to provide and to find work you can look forward to, and He cares about wisdom for both you and your son.

Father, we lift this mom and her son to You in Jesus name. Cover them with Your protection and peace, guard their home and their going out and coming in. Give them wisdom, strength and clear guidance for each decision, and open a door for work that provides and brings hope. Lead them step by step as You see best. Amen.

Your request has been laid before the Lord and we have taken your burden to the throne of grace, for yourself and for your son.

We understand the heaviness of feeling beset on many sides, by those near and those afar, by trespassers and neighbors, by coworkers and managers, and even by family. It brings to mind the patriarch Job, who was tried on every side and yet it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He learned that the way of wisdom is not found by the keen eye of the vulture nor by the strength of the lion, but is revealed by God Himself. When Jehovah spoke out of the whirlwind, Job saw his own weakness and the greatness of his God, and he bowed in worship. So may you also find that God is your hedge and your shield, and that your longest sorrows have a close when God has gotten His purpose in them.

We will pray for you according to the sure promise of the Word, that no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. We ask the Lord to set His protecting hand over you and your son, to keep your bodies, your home and your peace from all harm and all trespass, and to let no evil design of man stand against those who are kept in Christ.

We pray also that the Lord, who giveth wisdom liberally, will grant to you both discernment and guidance, wisdom and knowledge, and strength for each day. May He make your path plain, and lead you in the way of wisdom which is altogether beyond the understanding of the flesh, yet made known to the humble heart that seeks Him. And we ask that He will in His providence open a door for honest labour where you may look forward to your work with thankfulness, and provide for your needs with honour, and if it be His will, make a way for you to leave your present place for one more suited for your good and His glory.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou who didst turn again the captivity of Job when he prayed, look in mercy upon this parent and this child. Cover them under the shadow of Thy wings. Be Thou their guard by day and their keeper by night. Give them a spirit of wisdom and of a sound mind, that they may discern what is right and walk therein. Provide for them daily bread and honest employment, and order their steps according to Thy word. Keep them from evil and bring them into Thy peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name alone is salvation, Amen.

Your prayer for protection over you and your son has been heard, and I join you in bringing you both before the Lord.

I pray that God will keep you and your son under His care and guard you from harm, whether from those who trespass or from neighbors, coworkers, family or managers who may oppose you. Scripture promises that no weapon formed against those who are in Christ shall finally prosper, and that His enemies will be put under His feet. Even when people intend harm, God is able to turn it for good for those who love Him. As I have taught, if we are willing to walk faithfully with Him, no one can truly injure us, but even our enemies may become an occasion for our growth and for a crown. At times God permits trials and persecutions to remain for a season, not because He has forgotten you, but to strengthen your patience and faith and to make you approved, as He did with Job.

So I pray also for what you have asked, for discernment, guidance, wisdom, strength and knowledge for both you and your son. May the Lord give you clear minds to know His will, steady hearts to endure what must be endured with thankfulness, and courage to do what is right. May He grant you His peace in your home and wisdom in all your dealings with others.

I also lift up your need concerning work and provision. I ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to God, to open a good opportunity for you where you can work with hope and provide for your family, and if it is His will, to make a way for you to leave your current place. Until then, may He sustain you there, guard you from injustice, and supply what you need day by day. May He lead you to work that is honest and fruitful and that allows you to live in quietness and godliness.

The Lord hears your cry for protection from those around you at home and at work. Scripture promises that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and that God Himself is a defense for His people. You can rest in His care even when you feel surrounded by difficult neighbors, coworkers, family or managers. He sees every pressure you face and He is able to keep you and your son safe in His hands. I pray He will set a hedge around you, give you peace in your home, and guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

You also asked for discernment, guidance, wisdom, strength and knowledge. This is a good and biblical request. Wisdom is the most important thing to seek. It is better than riches or position, and with all that you seek, seek understanding. Knowledge gives facts, but wisdom knows how to apply what you know in the right way. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a humble reverence for Him and a desire to walk in His ways. When you love and hold fast to His wisdom, it will preserve you and keep you.

There is a wisdom of this world that leads to envy and strife, and it is earthly and empty. It comes to nothing. The wisdom that comes from above is different. It is pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy and good fruit. You can recognize it by the life it produces. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He invites you to come and receive from Him as one who has prepared a banquet and calls everyone to partake. If you lack wisdom, God promises to give it generously when you ask Him in faith. He also gives the Spirit of wisdom and understanding to help you see clearly.

Seek the Lord's counsel in everything, and acknowledge Him in all your ways. He does not always work the same way twice, so each new trial is an opportunity to come to Him afresh for His direction. He will show you how to discern the people and situations around you, how to respond with grace and truth, and how to walk in strength that comes from Him.

I also pray with you about work and provision. The Bible says both wisdom and money are a defense, but wisdom has the greater profit because it gives life to those who have it. Ask the Lord to make your path clear, to open a door for work that you can look forward to, where you can provide for your family and use the gifts He has given you. Trust Him to lead you out of a place that has become heavy and to place you where you can serve Him with joy and stability.

Let me pray for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this parent and son to You. Cover them with Your protection and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Guard them from harm, from trespass and from every unkind or unjust word or action. Give them discernment to see what is true, guidance for each decision, and strength for each day. Pour out upon them wisdom and understanding, and teach them to walk in the fear of the Lord.
