We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in prayer. First, we are grateful that you acknowledge the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and we rejoice in your love for the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We are encouraged by your desire to surrender your life to Him, and we pray that He continues to guide your steps.

However, we must address some concerns with love and truth. The Bible is clear that relationships between a man and a woman should be pursued with the goal of marriage, and any sexual activity outside of marriage is considered fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). It is also important to note that close friendships with the opposite sex, while not inherently sinful, can lead to temptation and should be approached with wisdom and boundaries (1 Corinthians 10:12). We urge you to examine your relationship with and ensure that it aligns with God's design for purity and holiness.

The mention of an addiction that you and are struggling with together is deeply concerning. We must rebuke this bondage in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has come to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). Addiction is a snare of the enemy, and we pray that you both would find freedom and healing through the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage you to seek godly counsel, accountability, and support to break free from this stronghold.

We also notice that you are placing a great deal of hope in returning to a "righteous path" and entering into a relationship with you. While it is good to pray for others and desire their repentance, we must be cautious not to place our hope in people, but in God alone (Psalm 62:5). Our ultimate fulfillment and joy come from our relationship with Christ, not from any human relationship. We pray that you would find your identity and worth in Him alone.

Regarding your court situation, we pray that the Lord would grant you favor and wisdom. We trust that He will provide for your needs and guide the judge's decisions according to His will (Proverbs 21:1). We also pray that you would have the strength and courage to stand firm in your faith, regardless of the outcome.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of love and concern for our sister in Christ. We thank You for her love for You and her desire to follow Your will. Lord, we pray that You would mend her heart and bring healing to her emotions. We ask that You would give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates her relationships and her court situation.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus Christ and pray for complete freedom and deliverance for both and our sister. We ask that You would break every chain and set them free to serve You with whole hearts.

Lord, we pray that You would reveal Your will for our sister's life. If it is Your plan for her to be united with in marriage, we pray that You would work in his heart, drawing him to repentance and a deeper relationship with You. However, if it is not Your will, we pray that You would give her the strength to let go and trust in Your perfect plan.

Father, we pray for favor in the courtroom. We ask that You would guide the judge's decisions and grant our sister wisdom and peace as she faces this challenge. We trust in Your provision and know that You will never leave her nor forsake her.

Above all, Lord, we pray that our sister would find her ultimate joy and satisfaction in You. May she grow in her relationship with You and find her identity in Christ alone. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel and surround yourself with believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Remember that your worth and value come from Him alone, and He has a perfect plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We hear a lot of heartache and also a lot of courage in your words. You’ve already done something very hard and very wise: you told what you need from a relationship and what you can’t accept. That’s a real boundary, and it’s an act of self-respect that honors God. We’re standing with you in the ache of loving someone who keeps drifting toward old patterns, and we’re praying for your own heart to be strengthened and mended, no matter what chooses.

We also want to name the addiction you mentioned. You said it’s hard to break free, and that you and keep doing this together. That’s a heavy burden, and we don’t want you to carry it alone. Sometimes addiction tries to numb the pain of strained love or uncertain tomorrows, but it only adds more weight. You don’t have to be stuck there. Would you consider reaching out to a local Christian recovery group or a pastor who understands addiction? Walking this out with others who can pray, listen, and support you often makes all the difference.

And then there’s court, the property, and not being able to afford a lawyer. That’s a real pressure. While we pray for God to work in that situation, it may help to look into free legal aid in your area, many communities have volunteer services or church-based help for people in your position. Even a little practical guidance can lift some fear.

Above all, we’re grateful you keep turning to Jesus, handing Him all of this. He sees you, and He doesn’t let go.

Jesus, we lift up this dear woman to You now. Hold her heart close as she heals from this broken place. Give her steady wisdom to keep the boundary she’s set and to lean on You for the love she truly needs. Break the chains of addiction, Lord, and surround her with safe people who will help her walk free. We ask for mercy and a just outcome in the court situation, and for provision in every practical need. Guide her steps and fill her with Your peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

A prayer that mingles the name of Jesus with a pleading after a “Spirit Guide” is a prayer offered upon strange fire. The court of Heaven hears no petition that bows both to the living God and to idols of the imagination. The angels of the Lord are real, but they gather at His command, not at our bidding as if we might direct the hosts of the Almighty. That “guide” you invoke is a delusion; cast it away. Christ alone is the way; the Spirit of God alone is the true guide into all truth. There is no other, and a divided heart will find its prayers scattered like chaff.

You speak of an addiction, a thing you know to be wrong, and yet you ask for safety while you continue in it. This is not the faith of Moses, who refused to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. When he was come to years, he made a clear decision. He chose to suffer affliction with the people of God rather than to dwell in the courts of Pharaoh, naming sin by its right name and forsaking it entirely. You cannot say, “Keep me safe while I do this thing,” and expect the blessing of a holy God. That is to mock the Almighty. If it be sin, it must be fled from. Repentance is not a truce with evil but a sword to slay it.

Your heart pants after a man who will not walk in fidelity with you, nor, it seems, with God. You hope that by your influence you might draw him back to righteousness. But the woman who would be a savior to a worldly man must first stand upon the Rock herself. And you cannot stand upon the Rock while clutching a “Spirit Guide” and asking a blessing on transgression. A clear decision is demanded of you. Not a sentimental wish, but a resolve like that of Joshua, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Declare it openly, and let your life speak it plainly. Until then, you are trying to build a house upon sand.

You go to a court of law, seeking a favorable verdict. But there is a higher court to which you must first bring your case. Your own heart condemns you, for you know these mixtures are not right. Yet “God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.” If your heart condemns, God knows more still. You cannot hope for true peace while you plead for earthly gain and neglect the suit of your own soul. The judge of all the earth will do right, but what will that verdict be for you if you hold fast to iniquity? Plead, not for property and money as your chief desire, but plead the blood of Jesus for the pardon of your sins. Only then will you be able to commit your outward affairs to Him who orders all things.

There is a decision to be made, one far weightier than the case to be heard at ###. Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing the reproach of Christ above the treasures of Egypt. That was an unmistakable, public break with Egypt. You, too, must break with every false comfort and every secret sin. Let your faith be in Jehovah alone. Let your love be set upon Christ first, and then trust Him to mend your heart and order your steps. He is no patch upon an old garment; He is the new robe of righteousness. Come out from among them, be separate, and touch not the unclean thing. Then your prayers, purged of all strange fire, shall rise as incense before the throne.

You ask God for a lamp to see your path, yet the cloud on your eye is thick from wicked desire. You do not need wings to fly or more of what you crave; you need the disease itself cut out. This longing for to become what you demand, respectful, faithful, aligned, is a desire for the impossible, and the soul is never cured by getting more of what inflames it. When the object is beyond reach, the only medicine is to draw the soul away from the desire entirely. You gave him a condition, but the heart’s peace does not come from another person meeting your terms. It comes when you can laugh at human troubles because God is your friend. If God be for you, what can man do? Not , not any man.

You say you love God with all your mind and heart, but then you ask for protection while you walk in an addiction. What is this but trailing your soul through the mire and fretting over a pair of shoes? You know the use of a shoe is to tread on filth, yet you worry about the mud while your soul is dragged on the ground. Do not ask God to keep you safe in sin. The evil is not stayed by managing it; it is stayed by tearing it out. That which you do with , you call hard to break free from, but it is more possible to fly than to satisfy a lust by feeding it more. Stop bargaining for safety in the pit; climb out and breathe.

Your court case, the property, the money, you pray for favor, but you hold too tightly to these things. Did Job wrestle nobly? He lost all and said, “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away.” When he bore it thankfully, then God restored. If you lose, your reward is greater. If you win, hold it as nothing. Do not cast away your confidence for the sake of a trailer and vehicles. These are small things; do not let them blind you further.

And what is this talk of Spirit Guides and angels gathered around at your command? There is one Mediator, Jesus Christ, and His Spirit is not a guide you manage alongside an addiction. Fall away from this mixture, and do it at once. The Galatians were rebuked for how quickly they deserted the true gospel. Do not be removed by the first approach of error. The Father and the Son brought you a covenant of grace; return to it, and let no strange doctrine or worldly craving pull you aside.

You say you give everything to God, but then you seize it all back with conditions, demands, and a divided heart. Give Him the addiction, truly. Give Him the man, without secret clauses. Give Him the court verdict, without dictating the outcome. Then you will find what a lamp really is: a soul unconcerned with mud, laughing at loss, seeing clearly because the humor of greed and lust has been wiped away. That is the peace you seek, and it has great recompense of reward.

Your heart is pouring out so much at once, and I can hear how heavily all of this weighs on you: the man you are tangled up with, the court date, the addiction you named, and the ache for your heart to be mended. You want to love the Lord with everything you are, and that desire is real. So let me respond from that grace, not from a list of rules.

It sounds like you offered this man a kind of contract: if he respects you, aligns with you, stays faithful even while having opposite-sex friends without sexual talk or involvement, then you could talk. That arrangement feels like a legal bond, a list of conditions that, if broken, voids the whole thing. God never deals with us that way. Through Jesus he tore up the handwriting of ordinances that stood against us and nailed it to the cross. He doesn’t hand you a list and say, “Keep this or I’m done.” He invites you into a loving relationship where he forgives your failure and changes you from the inside. When you set those terms for a relationship, you are putting yourself under the same kind of legalistic weight that only brings guilt and disappointment. You cannot control another person into being faithful and true; the Lord alone transforms hearts.

And that’s where the deeper need shows itself. You mentioned a “Spirit Guide” alongside your prayer to Jesus, as if you need an extra spirit to protect you and lead you while you keep doing something you know is an addiction. The only one who guides you into all truth and safely keeps you is the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus sent. Everything else is a shadow, a substitute for the real thing. The Old Testament sacrifices and rituals were shadows that pointed ahead to Jesus; once he came, those shadows were no longer needed because we have the substance himself. Any other “guide” is just another shadow, a counterfeit that cannot save or satisfy. Jesus is the substance. He doesn’t just protect you while you stay trapped in sin; he wants to loose the chains entirely. Praying for safety in the midst of ongoing sexual sin is not the same as asking for deliverance from it. The grace of God teaches us to say no to ungodliness, and he gives power to break free, not just to endure the addiction safely.

Your longing for a real relationship is not wrong. But the way forward isn’t through bargaining with this man or waiting for him to get his life together so you can finally have peace. A man who is still reaching back toward ex-girlfriends and rushing down old destructive paths is not ready to be who you need. And the sexual bond you two share only clouds your judgment and feeds an emotional tie that mimics love. Real love is more than a feeling or physical connection. It is patient, kind, and it leads toward faithfulness and covenant, not toward hiding or negotiating terms. You told him you want him to be happy with the one he likes and loves so you can be happy with someone who makes you happy. But you cannot force that by your own strength, and his happiness is not your responsibility. Give both him and yourself into the hands of the only One who can heal and restore. If the Lord wants this relationship, he will shape it in his time, on his terms, without you needing to demand, “If you do this, then call me.”

The court matter feels overwhelming: the weight of not affording a lawyer, the fear of an unfair outcome. Scripture doesn’t forbid using the legal system when necessary; even the apostle Paul appealed to higher authorities to avoid injustice. But the deeper rest comes from knowing that your true inheritance isn’t a trailer or property or money. Those things are temporary. Some believers in the early church took joyfully the spoiling of their goods because they knew they had in heaven a better and enduring substance. That doesn’t mean losing hurts less, but it does mean your ultimate hope isn’t tied to a judge’s verdict. Ask the Lord for wisdom and a just resolution, but release your demand that everything must go in your favor. Trust him with the outcome.

Right now, the most loving thing you can do is stop trying to hold on to a relationship that keeps you tied to sin and confusion, and bring your whole heart to Jesus alone. He doesn’t just mend wounds; he makes all things new. Give him the guilt, the addiction, the longing, and the legal battle. Rest in his finished work, not in your performance or anyone else’s promises. You are not in a legal arrangement with God; you are a beloved child through faith in Jesus Christ. That is what counts.
