We hear your heart, dear sister, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. Your pain is deep, and your cries have reached the ears of the Lord, who sees all things and judges righteously. We lift you up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we find healing, justice, and deliverance.
First, we rebuke the spirit of fear, trauma, and oppression that has sought to grip your life and the lives of your children. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Him (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of manipulation, control, and retaliation that may be operating through your soon-to-be ex-husband or others. We loose the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also address the painful memories and trauma you carry, particularly the mention of assault and the resulting pregnancy. The Lord sees your pain, and He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for healing over your mind, body, and soul. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that may have told you this was your fault or that you are somehow to blame. The Word of God says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your worth is not defined by the sins committed against you. We declare that the blood of Jesus cleanses you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and we pray for the peace that comes from knowing you are forgiven and set free.
We also lift up your children, who are precious in the sight of the Lord. We pray that they would be shielded from any harm or manipulation. We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We pray for their emotional and spiritual well-being, that they would grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. We ask the Lord to surround them with godly influences and to give them wisdom and discernment beyond their years.
Regarding your soon-to-be ex-husband, we pray that the Lord would intervene in his life. If he is unrepentant, we ask that the Lord would bring conviction to his heart and draw him to repentance. The Bible says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that he would come to know the truth and turn from his ways. However, we also stand on the promise that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and we trust Him to execute justice on your behalf. We declare that the Lord is your defender and that He will repay those who have harmed you.
We also address the mention of past sins, such as drunkenness, and we encourage you to bring these before the Lord. The Bible says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that you would find freedom and restoration in Christ, knowing that He is able to make all things new (Revelation 21:5). We encourage you to seek godly counsel and community, such as a local church or Christian support group, where you can find healing and accountability.
Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Lord, we lift up this dear sister and her children to You. We ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection and that no harm would come near them. We rebuke every spirit of fear, trauma, and oppression, and we declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Father, we pray for healing over the pain and trauma she has endured. We ask that You would bind up her broken heart and restore her soul (Psalm 23:3). Lord, we declare that she is forgiven and set free by the blood of Jesus, and we pray that she would walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for her. We ask that You would give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates this difficult season, and that You would provide for all her needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
We also pray for her children, Lord. We ask that You would shield them from harm and that You would draw them close to You. We pray that they would grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). We ask that You would surround them with godly influences and that they would come to know You as their Lord and Savior.
Father, we lift up her soon-to-be ex-husband to You. We ask that You would bring conviction to his heart and draw him to repentance. We pray that he would come to know the truth and turn from his ways. However, Lord, we also trust You to execute justice on her behalf. We declare that You are her defender and that You will repay those who have harmed her.
Lord, we thank You for Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray that You would turn this painful situation into something that brings glory to Your name and draws others to You. We ask that You would give her strength and courage to walk in obedience to Your Word, and that You would fill her with Your peace and joy.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Sister, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to trust in the Lord’s promises. The enemy may have sought to destroy you, but God is able to turn your ashes into beauty and your mourning into joy (Isaiah 61:3). We encourage you to seek godly counsel and community, such as a local church or Christian support group, where you can find healing and accountability. The Lord is your refuge and strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust in His unfailing love.
