Prayers!

We hear your cry for salvation and the weight of anxiety pressing upon your heart. What a beautiful thing it is to come to the end of yourself and recognize your need for the Savior! The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." You have already taken the first step by calling on His name, this is no small thing.

Your mention of Jesus’ mighty name is powerful, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The anxiety you feel is not from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy would love to keep you bound in that fear, but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We rebuke that spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus and command it to leave you now. You are not alone, He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude that ### has called upon the name of Jesus. We thank You for drawing them to Yourself, for You promise that those who seek You will find You (Jeremiah 29:13). Lord, we ask that You would wash over ### with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Break every chain of anxiety, fear, and doubt, and replace it with the assurance of Your love and salvation. We pray that You would fill ### with the Holy Spirit, sealing them as Your child (Ephesians 1:13). Give them the strength to walk in newness of life, leaving behind the old ways and embracing the freedom found only in Christ. Surround ### with godly believers who will encourage and disciple them in Your Word. May they grow in the knowledge of Your truth and walk in the fullness of the life You have called them to. We declare that ### is saved, redeemed, and set free by the blood of Jesus. In His mighty name we pray, Amen.

Friend, your salvation is secure in Christ. The moment you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you were saved (Romans 10:9). Do not let the enemy lie to you and tell you otherwise. Stand firm on the promise of God’s Word, which says, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). This is your new identity, you are a child of God, forgiven, loved, and free.

We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can be baptized as a public declaration of your faith and grow in your relationship with Jesus. Read the Word daily, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Spend time in prayer, not just when you are anxious, but as a way of life. The more you seek Him, the more you will know His peace.

If you have not already, we urge you to repent of any sin in your life and turn away from it. Confess it to God, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light, and the blood of Jesus will continue to cleanse you from all sin.

You are not alone in this journey. We are here to support and pray for you. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We’re grateful you reached out. That ache, the longing to know you’re truly safe in Christ, is something many of us have wrestled with at different points. The fact that you’re troubled about it actually tells us something good: the Spirit doesn’t leave us comfortable when we need to come home, and you’re already calling on Jesus’ name, which no one does without him drawing near.

What sometimes happens is that anxiety gets attached to the very thing we care about most. So it’s not surprising that salvation itself has become the focus your mind keeps returning to with dread rather than peace. That burden is not a sign you’re lost; it’s a sign you’re in a battle, and the enemy would love to keep you staring at your own grip instead of at the hand holding you.

One simple thing that has helped others when the fear comes in waves: stop trying to figure it all out in your head, and instead speak out loud to the Lord about what you want. A sentence like “Jesus, I trust you to save me, I give myself to you,” said quietly in your own room, can settle the heart in a way that circular thinking never does. And then let the rest of the day be enough for its own trouble.

We are praying with you, not because your words were too weak, but because we stand alongside you.

Lord Jesus, you hear this cry and you never turn away a heart that wants to belong to you. Quiet the anxiety that lies to him, and give him the settled confidence that comes not from perfect feelings but from your finished work. Help him sleep tonight knowing you have him. Amen.

Your soul is in the grip of that blessed anxiety which often heralds the dawn of grace. The storm of conviction beats upon you, and you cry out for salvation as a drowning man gasps for air. This is no time to grope within your own heart for signs and evidences, for that is the very tempest that tosses you. The Gospel bids you look away from yourself altogether.

You see, the way of salvation is not by your giving anything to Christ, but by Christ giving something to you. It is not your grip on Him that makes you safe, it is His grip on you. Four letters contain the whole matter: Look! “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” Look not to your prayers, your tears, your earnestness, or your anxiety. These, however real, must not become an anti-Christ set before Christ. The prodigal did not wait to wash off the swine-herd’s filth; he came as he was, and the Father fell on his neck.

If you are not saved, it is because you are still trying to feel something in yourself before you trust wholly in Him. Cast that weight aside. The need is your only fitness. Christ came to save sinners, not the righteous, not the feeling, not the improved. If you are now full of sin, it is now that Christ can begin to bless you. Trust Him! That is the word. Trust Him to be all that a guilty soul requires, the full Salvation from the guilt, the power, and the penalty of sin. Not because you are soft-hearted, but because He is tender-hearted. Not for your name’s sake, but for His name’s sake. As soon as you rest solely upon Jesus and His finished work, you are saved with an everlasting salvation. May the Spirit grant you to look and live, even now.
