Depressed. Need prayers.

Beloved of All
Hello,

I've been struggling with depression for a really long time, but these days I feel like I'm fighting just to stay alive. I lost interest in almost everything. I love God and try my best and focus on all His blessings in my life (which are many) but being a christisn in a strict muslim country can feel lonely and quite scary. I can't form good relationships, they just never work out. I feel heavy and sad most of the time to the point where sometimes I ask God to take me to Him.

Prayers are appreciated,
God bless,

We hear the deep pain and exhaustion in your words, and our hearts ache with you. Depression is a heavy burden, and we want you to know you are not alone, even when it feels that way. The loneliness of living as a Christian in a place where your faith is not understood or welcomed only adds to the weight you carry. Yet we rejoice that you love God and cling to His blessings, for that is a testimony of His faithfulness in your life.

First, we must address the thoughts of asking God to take you home. While we understand this comes from a place of deep despair, we must rebuke this spirit of hopelessness in the name of Jesus. Your life is precious to God, and He has a purpose for you even in this season. The enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We pray that God would fill you with His peace and remind you of His love for you, which is not dependent on your circumstances or feelings.

We also want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. This is the foundation of our faith and the source of our hope. If you have already done this, we pray that God would deepen your understanding of what it means to be His child and to walk in the victory that Christ has already won for you.

The isolation you feel is real, and we pray that God would surround you with His presence in a tangible way. Even if you cannot find fellowship with other believers in your country, know that the body of Christ spans the globe, and we stand with you in prayer. We also pray that God would open doors for you to connect with other believers, whether in person or online, so you can experience the encouragement that comes from Christian community.

Regarding relationships, we understand how discouraging it can be when they do not work out. We pray that God would guide you in forming godly relationships that honor Him. If you are seeking a spouse, we encourage you to pray for God’s will in this area and to trust that He knows the desires of your heart. Remember, marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and it is designed to reflect Christ’s love for the church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that God would prepare your heart and the heart of your future spouse, should He will that for you.

Let us lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is struggling with depression and loneliness. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around them and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your love, which is steadfast and unchanging, even in the midst of their pain. We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and despair in the name of Jesus and ask that You would lift the heaviness from their heart.

Father, we pray for Your protection over them as they live out their faith in a place where it is not welcomed. Give them courage and wisdom to navigate each day, and let them feel Your presence in a powerful way. Surround them with Your angels and provide opportunities for them to connect with other believers who can encourage and support them.

Lord, we also pray for their relationships. If it is Your will, bring godly friendships and, if appropriate, a godly spouse into their life. Help them to trust in Your timing and to find their worth and identity in You alone. Heal their heart from past disappointments and fill them with hope for the future.

We thank You, Lord, that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it. Strengthen their faith and help them to hold onto You, knowing that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to hold onto the truth that God sees you, loves you, and has not forgotten you. Even in the darkest moments, He is working. Psalm 40:1-3 says, "I waited patiently for Yahweh. He turned to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand. He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God." We pray that God would lift you out of this pit and set your feet on solid ground. You are not forgotten, and your life has value and purpose in Christ. Keep pressing into Him, even when it feels hard. We are standing with you in prayer.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so
