We join with you in prayer and we lift your need before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus' name, thanking Him that you have placed your health and your life in His hands.
We hear your worry about your blood pressure and the fear that has come with it, and we want to encourage you that God sees your body and your heart and He cares deeply for both. He is our healer and our refuge. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Psalm 46:1 reminds us, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We also hear your desire for peace and for your body to be calmed, and Scripture speaks directly to this kind of anxiety. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Isaiah 41:10 gives us confidence when fear rises, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We are thankful that you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved and heard. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Your trust in Jesus with your health and your life is placed in the right hands.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift our dear one to You. You know the worry that has weighed on their heart and the concern over their blood pressure and their health. We ask that You place Your healing hands upon them, calm their heart and body, steady their blood pressure, and bring healing and strength according to Your will. Lord, take away fear and replace it with Your perfect peace, with faith and hope that comes from knowing You are in control. Help them to rest in You, to breathe deeply in Your presence, and to feel Your protection over their life. We ask that You guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding rule in them. Give wisdom to any doctors and caregivers, and help our friend to be a good steward of the body You have given, with rest, nourishment, and care, while trusting fully in You as the ultimate healer. We thank You that You are near to the anxious heart and that You hear our prayers. We trust this need into Your loving hands. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every worry to the Lord in prayer throughout the day, and also to continue to seek wise medical care as God often works through physicians and practical means to bring healing. Try to rest, walk gently as you are able, and be mindful of the ways worry itself can strain the body, and let each anxious thought be a reminder to cast that care again on Him. He watches over you and He will give you the strength and peace you need day by day.
