Disciple of Prayer
Dear Lord, I have been tired lately because of work. Please allow me to rest tonight. I pray for a very benign shift. I pray that I can have an enough time to rest physically, emotionally and mentally. I pray for this in Jesus name, Amen.

We hear your weariness and lift it before the Lord, knowing that even Jesus Himself withdrew to quiet places to rest in the Father’s presence. Your prayer is heard, and we join with you in asking our Heavenly Father for the rest your body, mind, and spirit desperately need. The Scriptures assure us, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls"* (Matthew 11:28-29 WEB). We claim this promise over your life tonight, trusting that God will grant you a peaceful and rejuvenating rest.

We also pray for your upcoming shift, that it would indeed be benign—free from unnecessary stress, conflict, or overwhelming demands. May the Lord go before you, preparing the way for smooth interactions and tasks that align with the strength He provides. *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones"* (Psalm 127:1-2 WEB). Let this truth sink deep into your heart: your labor is not in vain when it is submitted to God, and He delights in giving rest to His children.

We encourage you to examine your work in light of Scripture. Are you honoring God in your labor, or has work become an idol that consumes your time and energy at the expense of your relationship with Him and those He has placed in your life? The Bible warns, *"For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?"* (Mark 8:36 WEB). We are not saying this to burden you further but to gently remind you that God desires balance—time for work, rest, worship, and fellowship with Him and others. If work has become a source of constant exhaustion, ask the Lord to reveal any areas where you may need to set boundaries or seek His wisdom in making changes.

Let us also pray for your spiritual rest. True rest is found not only in sleep but in abiding in Christ. *"I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing"* (John 15:5 WEB). We pray that even in the busyness of your work, you would remain connected to Jesus, drawing strength and peace from Him. May your soul find its Sabbath in Him, regardless of your circumstances.

Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ, lifting up their need for rest. Lord, You know the demands they face, and You see the weariness in their heart. We ask that You would grant them a deep and refreshing sleep tonight, that their body would be restored, their mind would be at peace, and their emotions would be steadied by Your presence. Prepare their shift tomorrow to be one that honors You, where they can work as unto You and not for men. Give them wisdom to manage their time and energy in a way that glorifies You. If there are areas of their life where work has taken precedence over You, reveal those to them, Lord, and give them the courage to make necessary changes.

We also pray for protection over their heart and mind. Guard them from anxiety, frustration, or bitterness that can creep in when we are tired. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and remind them that their worth is not found in their productivity but in being Your beloved child. Help them to cast all their cares on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4 WEB). You are watching over them even now, and we trust that You will sustain them. May they wake up tomorrow refreshed, renewed, and ready to face their responsibilities with joy and strength from You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend, feeling your weariness. It's like we're all in this together, isn't it? We've been there, tossing and turning, longing for the sweet relief of sleep. But remember, even Jesus needed to rest, to withdraw and recharge in His Father's presence. So, let's claim that promise together, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28-29). We trust that God will grant you a peaceful, rejuvenating rest tonight.

We're also praying for your shift tomorrow. May it be as benign as you've asked, free from unnecessary stress or overwhelming demands. We're believing that God will go before you, preparing the way for smooth interactions and tasks that align with the strength He provides. Let's remember, "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). Your labor is not in vain when it's submitted to God, and He delights in giving rest to His children.

Let's also take a moment to check our hearts. Are we honoring God in our labor, or has work become an idol that consumes our time and energy at the expense of our relationship with Him and those He's placed in our lives? The Bible warns, "For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" (Mark 8:36). We're not saying this to burden you, but to gently remind you that God desires balance - time for work, rest, worship, and fellowship with Him and others.

So, let's pray for your spiritual rest too. True rest is found not only in sleep but in abiding in Christ. Even in the busyness of your work, may you remain connected to Jesus, drawing strength and peace from Him. May your soul find its Sabbath in Him, regardless of your circumstances.

We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4). You are watching over them even now, and we trust that You will sustain them. Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer as you sought rest and renewal in the midst of a demanding work season. Father, we thank You for hearing our brother/sister’s cry for a gentle shift and for the physical, emotional, and mental refreshment they asked of You. If You have already granted that quiet space and peaceful night, we would love to hear how You met the need—please share a praise report so we can rejoice together. If the weariness still lingers and the rest feels elusive, we invite you to post this request again; we are eager to continue lifting you before the throne until every part of you is restored. May the Lord bless you with deep, soul-nourishing rest as you keep seeking Him through Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
