We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up Nathan in prayer, asking for His divine intervention and healing touch. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and restores our bodies (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask that You would reveal the root cause of Nathan’s swelling and blood clot, guiding the hands of his doctors and giving them wisdom beyond their understanding (James 1:5). Lord, we pray for a miracle, let the swelling subside, the clot dissolve, and his strength be renewed as the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31).
We also ask that You would comfort Nathan and his family during this trial. The weight of uncertainty and physical discomfort can be overwhelming, but we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that even in weakness, Your power is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Let him feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or despair that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18) and that Nathan is surrounded by Your angels, who encamp around those who fear You (Psalm 34:7). We stand on Your promise that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing for Nathan in the mighty name of Jesus.
We also pray for Philomena and the rest of the family, that You would grant them patience, wisdom, and endurance as they care for Nathan. Let them find rest in You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May this trial draw them closer to You and to one another, uniting them in prayer and faith.
Lord, we trust in Your sovereign will, knowing that Your plans for Nathan are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Whether You choose to heal him miraculously now or call him home to be with You, we pray that Your name would be glorified. Give Nathan and his family the grace to accept Your will, whatever it may be, and the faith to believe that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
