Beloved of All
I want to thank everyone for the prayers for my daughter in her first few weeks of medical school. Something really amazing is happening that I am absolutely sure is the work of God’s hands. Recently I posted here about my daughter having a very stressful and difficult time adjusting to medical school and the rigorous amount of studies. She was scared, nervous and felt behind everyone. I asked people to pray for her to be able to remain calm and find some joy in what she was learning instead of being so very stressed. I also asked for prayers that she would do well on her first few tests this past Monday. Well here is the results of our prayers. The first three tests she took that day she did amazing on she called me so relieved and happy. However, later that day, she was waiting on line to go in with her group to take a practical. While online the kids started coming out from the group before and most of them were crying that they thought they failed. My daughter seeing that got even more nervous and went in already thinking she was doomed. Well let’s just say the test for her did not go as planned. I will not get into the whole crazy situation but we can laugh a little now. Her grade was not good and not reflective of what she knew. But here is the interesting part and I find so amazing. She took a break that night from studying and went out as a group for dinner. She stayed calm regarding that grade. Enjoyed the fact that she did so well on the other exams. She has remained calm, and moved on without looping over that one grade. When the grades came in ( and of course half the class did horrible) she noticed a young man almost in tears. She told me she felt so bad for him and walked over to talk to him. She informed me she felt the young man was stressed and looked like he was going to cry over the grade. She told him it would be okay, that they would all be okay. That she did not do well either in fact everyone did not do great. She told him that he like her did not do well but it’s not reflective of what they know and they would all do better next time. My daughter told me that he looked relieved after she talked to him. I am so proud of my daughter for reaching out to a classmate that she really did not know yet and help him. I told her what she did is so kind and better than any old high mark grade. Later that night she text me how cool she found that class. She said mommy, I got to hold a human heart and lung in my hand and she said she found it so interesting and amazing. This morning she called me on the way to school to talk to me. Gone is the crying daughter who had nothing but fear and anxiety, she appears focused to the task at hand, she talked to me about a friend she made cookies for last night to cheer up and for her birthday. She told me she is studying, still feeling a little behind but she will get there and talking to me about the interesting parts of what she is learning. All of which is what I asked for your help with praying for her. Our prayers are being answered. She and I will continue to pray and I wanted to again thank you all for your prayers for my daughter.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
