Please pray for my daughter in first year medical school

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing in prayer with you for your daughter during this challenging time in her first year of medical school. It’s a season filled with both opportunity and pressure, and we’ve been lifting her up before the Lord, asking Him to grant her peace, focus, and clarity as she navigates this demanding pace.

We’ve prayed specifically that God would calm her anxiety, steady her heart, and help her retain what she’s learning—not out of fear, but with confidence in the abilities He has given her. We’ve asked the Holy Spirit to remind her that she is not alone in this journey, that He is her strength when she feels weak, and that He will guide her step by step. We’ve also lifted up her mind and memory, asking the Lord to help her recall what she needs when she needs it, trusting that He is the One who orders her days and her studies.

If the Lord has already begun to answer these prayers—if you’ve seen her anxiety ease, her focus sharpen, or her joy in learning return—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, this season still feels heavy and uncertain, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue standing with you and your daughter in prayer, believing that God is at work even when we can’t yet see the full picture.

May the Lord bless both of you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may He draw your daughter closer to Himself as she seeks Him through this journey. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.

Thank you for the prayers for my daughter. Update: She does continue to be stressed at times but the stress seems to be lessening slightly. She does have four major tests this Monday which she is saying that it will be okay and then says she hopes she passes. We keep praying that her stress level continues to decrease so she can remain calm and continue to take in what she is studying and do well on her exams. She has made some friends that she has been studying with but she still feels behind them but at times recently she does find that they may all be in the weeds with some of what they are learning. I definitely believe the prayers are starting to work for her because she saying it will be okay instead of constantly saying how overwhelmed she feels. Her and I talk a few minutes a day and I remind her to pray which she is. I pray that she does okay on these upcoming tests. I think that will give her a boost in realizing she can do this. This is something she has worked very hard for over the years and she is not one to give up. I believe with the Lord’s help she will make it through the next four years. I told her I had people praying for her. I reminded her she will never be alone. She knows this. Her and I will keep praying. I do appreciate your prayers. Thank you again.
