Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me ### and husband ### are kids and my family for protection from the enemy and also are finances and for addiction and to straighten are faith

We join you in lifting up you and your husband and your children and your family before the throne of grace and we thank you for reaching out for prayer.

We hear your heart for protection from the enemy and we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. We are reminded that we are to put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil as it says in Ephesians 6:11. We also take comfort that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one in 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and that we are to be sober and self-controlled because your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour in 1 Peter 5:8. Yet greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world as shown in 1 John 4:4, so we do not fear but we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil and he will flee from us according to James 4:7.

We also bring your finances before the Lord. He knows your needs and He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider. We cling to the promise that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:19. We encourage you to continue to be faithful stewards, to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well in Matthew 6:33, trusting Him with tithes and offerings and with honest work and wise stewardship.

We pray also concerning addiction in your family. We know that addiction is a form of bondage and the Lord desires to set the captives free. Scripture tells us that no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it in 1 Corinthians 10:13. We rebuke the hold of addiction and we pray for repentance, deliverance and complete freedom, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty in 2 Corinthians 3:17 and it was for freedom that Christ set us free in Galatians 5:1. We encourage you to confess this struggle openly, to seek godly accountability and counsel in the body of Christ, to remove every provision for the flesh, and to walk daily in the power of the Holy Spirit, for sin will not have dominion over you in Romans 6:14.

We hear your desire to straighten your faith and we praise God for that hunger. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ in Romans 10:17. We encourage you to remain daily in the Word, in prayer and in fellowship with other believers, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith in Hebrews 12:2. Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him in Hebrews 11:6. When doubts come, ask in faith without wavering as James 1:6 teaches.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved in Romans 10:9. It is by that precious name we pray.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sister and her husband and their children and their extended family to You. Place Your hedge of protection around them, cover their home with the blood of Jesus, guard their minds and hearts and bodies from every scheme of the enemy. Let no weapon that is formed against them prosper. Provide for their financial needs according to Your riches in glory, give them wisdom to steward what You provide and to trust You in abundance and in want. In the name of Jesus we break every chain of addiction in this family, we ask for deliverance, for cleansing, for renewed minds and for strength to walk in holiness and sobriety one day at a time. Strengthen and straighten their faith, Lord, draw them closer to You, establish their feet on the solid rock of Your Word, help them to abide in You and to bear much fruit. Fill their marriage and their home with Your peace that passes all understanding. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

We were so glad to receive your note asking prayer for you, your husband, your children and your wider family. Wanting protection, steadiness in faith, freedom from addiction and provision for your finances are deeply good and loving desires, and we hear how much you carry for those you love.

Carrying all of these at once can feel heavy, so it can help to take one faithful step at a time together. If you have a trusted pastor or a mature couple in your church, consider inviting them into what you are facing so you are not walking through this alone. For addiction, ongoing support matters, and meeting with a pastor, a licensed counselor, or a Christ centered recovery group alongside prayer can give you both encouragement and practical tools for the long road. Even a simple shared rhythm, like a brief prayer together in the morning or evening for protection and wisdom, can help steady your faith day by day.

We are praying with you for all of this.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus name. Cover them with Your protection, provide for their financial needs with wisdom for each decision, bring freedom and strength where addiction has taken hold, and draw each heart closer to You. Give them hope, unity and trusted help around them in the days ahead. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, deliver, heal, save (those not saved) and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. I ask this for them, us and all in need. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in prayer for you and your husband and your children and your household.

We are thankful you have asked for protection from the enemy, for provision in finances, for deliverance from addiction, and for faith to be made straight and strong. These are great needs, and there is one great Helper. We would point you to the Lord Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Him alone, and every mercy we seek must come by His blood and His intercession.

For protection, we pray that you may take unto you the whole armor of God, and above all the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. The enemy shoots his arrows often, but no wounds can be inflicted upon the warrior who is clad in the armor of faith. It is well to cast all your cares on Him who careth for you, and thus by an act of faith in your heavenly Father to be delivered from the noise of these archers. We ask the Lord to set His guard about your home, to keep you in peace within your borders, and to preserve you and your husband and your children from the power of Satan, even as Christ prayed for Peter that his faith fail not.

For your finances, we bring your need to a Father who knows what things ye have need of before ye ask Him. He who brought forth Israel with silver and gold is still the Lord who provides. We pray that He would give you daily bread, wisdom to steward what He entrusts to you, deliverance from anxious care, and contentment with godliness which is great gain.

For addiction, we pray for true deliverance. There is a pit from which no man can lift himself, but God has invented a way of deliverance and has found a ransom. That ransom is the precious blood of Christ, shed not in vain, but to bring the blood bought ones securely home. If by faith you look to Jesus as the Lamb slain for you and trust Him to be your redemption, He is able to break the chain and to make your deliverance effectual. He can do nothing for Himself who lies in the pit, but Free Grace can do all. We pray that the Lord would show you that He has found a ransom, and give you repentance and faith together, for they are twins born at the same time. That faith which allows a man to think lightly of past sin is not the faith of God's elect, but true faith trusts in Christ and turns from sin to follow Him.

For your faith, we are encouraged that you desire it to be straightened. Remember that little faith is still true faith when it begins and ends with Jesus. Little faith, like David's sling, has slain the giant, and though it be but as a grain of mustard seed, being the gift of God it is like precious faith. Do not despise the day of small things. The essence of faith lies in dropping down into Christ's arms, resting upon His finished work. He tenderly commends even trembling faith, and He is able to increase it. We pray that the Lord would strengthen what He has planted, that you and your husband together would grow in knowledge of His Word, in prayer, and in walking in His ways, holding fast the lifelong covenant of marriage as God ordained for one man and one woman, and keeping your lives pure before Him.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come in the name of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our only hope and our only ransom. Look in mercy upon this family, upon husband and wife and children. Cover them with the shield of faith and guard them from the enemy. Provide for their needs according to Thy riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Break the power of addiction and set the captive free, for Thou art He who brings forth from the pit. Forgive sin, cleanse the heart, and wash them till they shall be whiter than snow through the blood of the Lamb. Give them repentance that hates sin and faith that lays hold of Christ, and keep them by Thy power through faith unto salvation. Make their faith to grow from little faith to great faith, that they may trust Thee fully and live to Thy praise. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Jesus is worthy. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request for prayer for yourself, your husband, your children and your family, and we join you in bringing these needs before the Lord.

We pray to God through Jesus Christ alone, in whom there is salvation, that He would be your protection against the enemy. When the fear of God dwells within the heart and the home, He is a wall that cannot be broken and a guard better than any outward contrivance. May He cover your household, keep you from the schemes of the evil one, and give you peace as you trust in Him.

For your finances we ask that He would supply what you need for health and daily life, and give you wisdom to use what He provides with faithfulness and contentment. Scripture teaches us to make provision for the flesh for health, not to fulfill its lusts, and to seek first the care of spiritual things. May He help you to live simply, to be good stewards of what you have, and to trust Him for each day.

For addiction we pray for deliverance. God is able to break its power and to strengthen you to put on Christ and to turn away from every provision for the flesh that kindles desire. We ask Him to give you self control, to prune away what harms you, to restore health to body and mind, and to surround you with faithful help through His Word, prayer, and the support of a local church where you can receive counsel and accountability.

For your faith we pray that the Lord would straighten and establish it. Faith comes and grows by hearing His Word, and the Scriptures have been given to keep us safe and to make us wise. May He lead you to give attention to His Word daily, to pray together as a family, and to bring your children up from their earliest years in the instruction and fear of the Lord. Right faith profits us when it is joined to a pure life and good works, so that we may walk in obedience and boldly look to Christ.

We will continue to pray that God will guard you and your family, provide for your needs, break the chains of addiction, and make your faith firm and bright in Christ, so that all you do may be to the glory of God. Amen.
