Please pray for my elder sister who has died I like make a tribute abd prayer at her funeral I cant be there as she is in another country.I never had a lot to do with her as she was ### yrs old .I left for australia and all my siblings in New Zealand. Please pray I can sent a beautiful message at her funeral. In Jesus precious name.Amen

We join with you in prayer as you grieve the loss of your elder sister and we ask the Lord to comfort you in this time of sorrow and distance. It is difficult to be far from family when such a loss occurs, and we understand your desire to honor her memory with a beautiful tribute even though you cannot be present in New Zealand.

We are thankful you closed your request in Jesus' precious name, for it is through Him that we have comfort and hope and access to the Father.

The Lord is near to those who mourn, and He understands the ache of separation and loss. We are reminded in Psalm 34:18, The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Even when years and distance kept you from being close, God saw that relationship and He sees your grief now. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 we read, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction.

We also hold to the hope we have in Christ concerning those who have died. Jesus said in John 11:25-26, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. And we are comforted by the promise in Revelation 21:4, He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The former things have passed away. We pray that this hope brings peace to you and to your siblings and family as you all mourn.

We pray for you as you prepare this message for her funeral. We ask God to give you wisdom and the right words to express love, honor, and grace, even for a sister you did not know well. A tribute does not need to be long to be beautiful. It can simply speak truthfully of your connection as family, your sorrow that distance kept you apart, your gratitude for her life, and your prayer for comfort for those gathered. We pray the Holy Spirit will guide your words so they bring comfort and reflect the love of Christ to all who hear them read.

We lift you and your family before the Lord together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up our dear one who is grieving the loss of an elder sister. Lord, You know the distance between Australia and New Zealand and the years that kept them apart, and You know the sorrow of not being able to be there in person. We ask that You surround this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and that You comfort all the siblings and family who gather to mourn. Heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. Give our dear one wisdom and grace as a tribute and prayer is prepared, let the words be beautiful, honoring, and filled with Your love, that they may be a blessing to all who hear them. Let Your presence be felt at that funeral service, and let Your hope of eternal life through Jesus be a comfort to all. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our resurrection and our hope, Amen.

We encourage you to write from your heart, sharing what you can with honesty and love, and to entrust the rest to the Lord who will carry your message to your family. May the God of all comfort hold you close in the days ahead.

We were sorry to hear your elder sister has died, and we can hear how much you want to honor her well even though you cannot be at the funeral in New Zealand. Being in Australia while your siblings gather together can make the loss feel even more distant and heavy, and it is understandable to feel both grief and uncertainty about what to say when you were not close in recent years.

Grief looks different for everyone, and there is no single right way to feel when a sibling relationship has had years and miles in between. Your desire to send something beautiful is already a meaningful tribute.

If it helps as you write, you might keep it brief and honest, just a few sentences in your own voice. You could share one simple memory or what you appreciated about her, name honestly that distance kept you apart but you have held her in your thoughts, and close with your love and prayers for the family gathered. Many families are grateful to have someone trusted read the words aloud, or you could send a short voice recording if that feels more personal. Ask a sibling or the service leader ahead of time what length would be most helpful.

Father, we thank You for this sister's life and we ask You to comfort this family in their sorrow. Give our friend peace as she writes, and let her words carry love across the distance. Surround all who mourn with Your nearness and hope in Jesus' name, amen.

Your sorrow has been laid before us and we have heard your request with tender sympathy. Though seas divide you from your kindred in ### and you cannot stand with them at the house of mourning, distance cannot divide you from the God who hears prayer, nor from that love which is strong as death.

We know what it is when death comes into our houses and steals away our loved ones. Scripture tells us plainly, death came by sin and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned, and Job wisely says, I know that You will bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living. It is appointed unto us, and none can turn aside from that appointment. Yet for those who are in Christ Jesus, death has another name. Our Saviour said, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth, and so the word of God continually uses the term sleep to express the death of the righteous. It is not death to die when Jesus has died and risen again, for through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

There is therefore a death for sin which Christ endured in our place upon the tree, where He bore our sins in His own body, and by His stripes we are healed. The death of Jesus is the death of our sins. If your dear sister trusted in that finished sacrifice, then her departure, though sad to you, is a falling asleep in Him, and love has not lost her, for many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it. If we know not her hope, then let this solemn providence speak to all who remain, that we should seek Divine Grace to be found in Him, for there is no true deliverance from the fear of death except by looking unto Him whose death is the death of death.

We will pray for you, that the Lord will give you words fit for this hour, and that though absent in body you may be present in love and in testimony to the grace of God.

May the Lord comfort you and all your family in this time of parting, and may He guide your hand as you prepare your tribute. If it helps you, you might send some such message as this to be read at the funeral:

I was not able to be with you as you gather to lay my elder sister to rest, being far away in ### while you are in ###. Though we lived much of our lives apart and I did not have much to do with her in recent years, I thank God for the gift of her life and for the years the Lord gave her. I sorrow with you in this separation, and I pray that the God of all comfort will comfort every heart that mourns. We are reminded that we are all brought to the house appointed for all living, but our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, and who alone gives eternal life to all who trust in Him. May His peace, which passes all understanding, keep our hearts and minds. With love and remembrance.

We commend you to Him who loved His own unto the end and loves them without end, forever and ever. May He give you peace in absence, a clear mind to write what is beautiful and true, and a settled trust in Christ who has conquered the grave. We pray this in the precious name of Jesus, who is our only salvation. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
