Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for allowing us to pray with you. It is encouraging to hear that your loved one is improving even beyond what his medical team expected. That is a reminder that while we thank God for skilled care, we also serve a God who is able to work beyond human limits. He has always left room to work according to His own will, even in situations that look impossible to us, and we should give Him that room and not put Him in a box. We will continue to pray for complete recovery and for strength for you as you support him.
Your housing situation sounds heavy and uncertain, and it is understandable that you feel overwhelmed with fluctuating figures, a deposit that has been reduced by other necessary expenses, and advisers who do not seem to be giving you the full picture. It is natural to feel drawn to a home that seems ideal, especially one in a quiet area near your hometown where you could raise your daughter with good surroundings, nearness to family, to your doctor, and to places like a farm and playground. The desire for stability and peace for your family is a good one.
In times like this, Scripture encourages us to seek the Lord's guidance before we make a binding decision. There is an account where Joshua and the leaders of Israel made a covenant without first asking counsel of the Lord, and they found themselves tied to an agreement that was not good for them. The lesson is that we should bring every major decision, every contract and commitment, before God and ask for His wisdom, lest we become shackled to something that is not His best for us. The early church modeled this by looking to the Holy Spirit for direction and waiting to know the mind of the Lord rather than moving impulsively. That is what we need today as well, to ask God for clear wisdom and to wait for His leading.
Prayer is central to that. If Jesus, the Son of God, saw the need to rise early to pray and to seek the Father, how much more do we need to bring our daily needs and decisions to God. He invites us to ask for wisdom, and He promises to give it generously. As you wait for clarity on the mortgage details and what you can truly afford, keep bringing each figure, each option, and each concern to Him. Ask Him to make the right way clear, to provide honest counsel, and to open or close doors according to His perfect will and timing.
We firmly believe, as you do, that Jesus still works in miraculous ways and that He is our great provision. He is God's one provision for the forgiveness of our sins through His death and resurrection, and He is also faithful to provide for our daily needs as we trust Him. When a door closes, it is not the end if He has another door to open.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this loved one to You and ask for continued healing and strength, and for encouragement for the family walking this long road. We ask for Your clear guidance in this housing decision. Give wisdom, provide for every financial need, grant integrity and clarity from advisers, and lead this family to the place You have chosen for them. Grant peace in the waiting, guard their hearts from anxiety, and help them to hear Your voice above all the changing numbers and opinions. May Your will be done, and may they know Your presence and provision each step of the way. Amen.
