We join you in thanking the Lord for His healing mercies already shown in your lives, for delivering you from colon cancer and for healing your husband after open heart surgery and prostate cancer, and we rejoice with you that God is good and that you keep the faith. We bring your requests before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.
We pray for your health in these coming appointments, for your labs and colonoscopies and for your upcoming mammogram with the abnormal findings, that the Lord in His mercy would grant you clear reports with no malignancies. We are reminded of His promise in Psalm 103:2-3, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also remember Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We ask the Great Physician to continue to keep His healing hand upon you both and to give you peace as you wait on these results, trusting not in fear but in His sovereign care.
We also lift up your financial burden and the lien on your home and your desire to become debt free, to stick to your budget and to spend wisely. The Word tells us in Proverbs 21:5, The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit, and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty, and in Luke 14:28, For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it. We pray that God will grant you wisdom and discipline and unity as husband and wife to make a plan and to follow it faithfully. We pray that He will provide for every need according to Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and teach you to seek first His Kingdom as promised in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We also remember Romans 13:8, Owe no one anything, except to love one another, and Proverbs 22:7, The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender. We ask the Lord to show you a clear path out of debt, to help you steward what He has provided, and to guard you from taking on burdens that would entangle you again.
We hear your heart for your son going through divorce and your desire to help him without being caught in a bind as you have been before with other loved ones. We pray for your son and for his marriage, for we believe marriage is a lifelong covenant before God between a man and a woman as Jesus taught in Matthew 19:6, So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart. We do not know all the circumstances of his situation, but we pray for God's will to be done, for healing and reconciliation where it is possible and biblical, and for comfort and godly counsel for your son in this painful season. We pray that the Lord will give you wisdom and loving boundaries as you help, that you may show love without enabling and without jeopardizing the stewardship of your own household. James 1:5 reminds us, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We ask God to give you that wisdom to know how to help in a way that honors Him.
Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to Your throne, and we thank You for Your faithfulness to this dear sister and her husband. We thank You for healing in the past and we ask for continued healing and for favorable reports on these upcoming tests. We ask You to lay Your hand upon her body and his, to protect them and to give them strength and peace. We ask You to provide for their financial needs, to help them honor You with their finances, to give them discipline to keep their budget and to deliver them from debt and from the lien on their home. Give them discernment in helping their son, that they may be generous as You lead but also wise stewards. Comfort their son, draw him close to You, and work in his family according to Your perfect will. Help this whole family to lean on You, to live in forgiveness and to walk in Your ways, and continue to use their prayers for others for Your glory. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, our Healer and Provider, amen.
We encourage you to continue in prayer, in the Word, and in faithful stewardship, keeping careful records, praying together over every spending decision, and seeking godly financial counsel if needed. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above what we ask, and prayer indeed changes things when we bring all things to Him. We thank you for praying for others as well and we stand with you for God's provision and healing.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
