We join you in lifting up your dear friend before the throne of grace and we share your deep burden for her in this very difficult season. We understand the pain of redundancy after a difficult time at work, the discouragement of months of rejection even when willing to take a lesser position, and the heavy weight of a mortgage and financial responsibilities when savings are running low. We see how devastating this is emotionally and we are grateful you are standing with her and watching over her with such care and love.
We want to gently remind you of the precious truth that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. You asked for prayer to God, and we so appreciate your faith to ask, yet Scripture makes this clear when it says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray with confidence that God hears us and will answer according to His perfect will and love.
God sees your friend, He knows her skills, her diligence, her years of experience, and He knows every application and every disappointment she has faced. He is not distant from her distress. The psalmist reminds us, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 and God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. We take comfort that even when the way forward is unseen to us, God has a plan for her good, for He says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.
We encourage you to continue to stay close to her daily, to let her know she is not alone and that she is deeply valued and loved. In this time of such distress and worry for her safety, please help her to stay connected with trusted people, with family, with a local Bible believing church family, and with a pastor or Christian counselor who can walk with her personally. If she is feeling overwhelmed or without hope, please encourage her to reach out immediately to someone nearby who can be with her and to seek professional and pastoral support without delay. Please also encourage her to speak openly with her mortgage provider and a wise financial counselor about her situation, as there are often ways to find temporary help while she seeks employment. Continue to speak words of hope over her and remind her that her worth is not defined by a job title but by being fearfully and wonderfully made and loved by God.
We also hold onto the promise of God's provision. We are told, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 and In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Our Father knows she needs work that will meet her financial needs and use the gifts He has given her.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this dear friend to You. Lord, You know her by name, You see her tears, her sleepless nights, her diligent efforts, and the burden of her mortgage and bills. We ask You to protect her, to guard her heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and to surround her with Your presence. Strengthen her when she is weak, lift her when she is low, and give her hope for each new day, for You have said, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Lord, provide for her financially in miraculous ways, meet her daily needs, and open the right door of employment, a position where she can use her senior experience, be valued, and be able to provide for her household. We pray You will lead her to favor with those making hiring decisions and that You will surround her with encouraging, godly people who will speak life and truth over her. Comfort her friend who is interceding for her and give wisdom to know how best to support and encourage her. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our provider, Amen.
Please pray urgently for my dear friend ###, a highly experienced senior HR professional who worked for a large investment firm. Last year, she was made redundant after a very difficult period with her manager. Despite receiving strong support and positive feedback from other senior directors, she lost her position and had to fight hard to receive a fair redundancy package. For the past ### months, ### has been applying for jobs, including positions below her previous seniority, but she continues to face rejection. She has a mortgage and financial responsibilities, and her savings are now running very low. The emotional impact has been devastating. She is deeply distressed and struggling to see a way forward, and I am extremely worried about her safety. Please pray that God protects ###, gives her strength and hope, provides financially for her, opens the right employment opportunity, and surrounds her with people who will support and encourage her.
