Silas
Beloved of All
Your request about the exam tomorrow has been heard and we are praying for you.
God knows the pressure you feel right now and He wants you to know His peace in the midst of it. Scripture speaks of two kinds of peace. First there is peace with God, which only comes through the blood of Jesus Christ who made peace for us on the cross. When you have put your trust in Him and your sins are forgiven, the war is over and you are no longer separated from God. Then there is the peace of God itself, that steady and complete peace that guards your heart and mind.
That perfect peace is promised to the one whose mind is stayed on the Lord because he trusts in Him. Jesus said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world cannot give this kind of peace and it cannot understand it. It is the peace that passes all human understanding, and it keeps our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus when we bring our needs to God.
In a world full of turmoil and pressure it is easy to have an anxious mind, but God invites you to turn your thoughts toward Him. As your mind rests on Him and you trust Him to take care of what concerns you, His peace begins to fill your heart. He has ordained peace for His people and He wants you to live in it, not in constant worry and fear.
So as you prepare for this exam, bring your anxiety to Him. Tell Him honestly about your need, ask for clarity of mind and the ability to recall what you have studied, and cast all of your care upon Him because He cares for you with loving concern. Trust Him with the outcome, knowing that He is watching over you.
We pray that the Lord will forgive your sins through Jesus and give you peace with Himself, and that He will then fill you with His perfect peace as you keep your eyes on Him. May He quiet your heart, steady your thoughts, give you rest and confidence, and help you do your best tomorrow for His glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
