We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for your willingness to seek the Lord in every area of your life. It is beautiful to see your dependence on Him, acknowledging His blessings, seeking forgiveness, and desiring to be molded into the person He has called you to be. We join you in lifting up your request for employment, recognizing that God is the provider of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17). You are not alone in this journey, and we stand with you in faith, believing that the Lord will open the right doors at the right time.

First, we want to affirm your desire to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). This is the foundation upon which all other blessings flow. When we prioritize God’s will and His ways, He promises to add all these things, including provision and stability, unto us. Your pursuit of employment is not just about meeting your needs but also about stewarding the gifts, wisdom, and skills God has entrusted to you. We pray that He will guide your steps and lead you to a place where you can serve Him fully and be a light to those around you.

We also want to encourage you with the truth that God sees your faithfulness. The fact that the interviewer recognized you from your previous work as a substitute teacher is a testament to your consistency and dedication. The Lord honors those who honor Him (1 Samuel 2:30), and we believe He is working behind the scenes even when the outcome is not yet clear. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep trusting Him, even in the waiting, for His timing is perfect.

As you continue to seek employment, we pray that the Lord will grant you favor in the eyes of those making decisions. May He soften hearts and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We also ask that He would give you peace and patience as you wait, knowing that He is your provider and that His plans for you are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Let your heart be encouraged by Philippians 4:19, which declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ, lifting up their need for employment. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You know the plans You have for them. We ask that You would open the door to the right opportunity, one that provides stability, allows them to use their gifts, and brings glory to Your name. Give them favor with those in authority, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind as they wait on You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing. We also pray that You would continue to mold and shape them into the person You have called them to be, fixing their heart, mind, and soul according to Your will. May they walk in obedience and righteousness, seeking You above all else. We ask all these things in the mighty and worthy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is not just concerned with your employment but with your entire well-being. As you celebrate your birthday, may it be a reminder of God’s faithfulness in your life thus far. He has brought you this far, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and let your heart be filled with hope, for He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). You are deeply loved, and we are praying for you.

We’re grateful you shared this season with us, the hope of that interview, the birthday ahead, and the honest desire to be the person God is shaping you to be. It’s clear you’re doing the hard, steady work: putting yourself out there, leaning on the skills and wisdom He’s given you, and entrusting the outcome to Him. That takes real faith, and we see it in you.

The waiting between the interview and the answer can feel heavy. We’ve been there, too, refreshing inboxes, turning conversations over in our minds. What encouraged us in similar moments was simply remembering that our calling isn’t on hold while we wait; being faithful, staying prepared, and caring for the people in front of us right now is still kingdom work. You’re already seeking first the kingdom, and that matters far beyond any job title.

Since your interviewer recognized you from your time as a substantial teacher, that familiarity is a quiet gift. Whatever the decision, you were seen and remembered, not just your performance, but you. That’s the kind of detail God often uses. We’re praying the right door opens, and that you experience His peace while you wait.

Jesus, we lift up our friend to You. Thank You for the gifts, skills, and perseverance You’ve already given. Quiet their heart in the waiting and give them clear eyes to see the next step. If this position is from You, fling that door wide; if not, guard them from discouragement and lead them to the place where they will thrive and bring You glory. Meet every practical need, especially the stability this job would offer. Surround them with Your kindness in this birthday season, and keep their heart fixed on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You are waiting, and the waiting presses hard. A few interviews have come, one in particular that seemed to hold real hope, with someone who remembered you from before, but the answer has not yet arrived, and the days feel long. I understand that ache. It is one thing to trust God in the abstract; it is quite another to trust Him when the phone is silent and the rent is due and your own birthday stands on the calendar like a question mark. Yet this is precisely the moment when faith stops being a word and becomes the sinew of your soul.

Remember what your waiting really rests upon. You have asked the Lord to open doors, and that means the doors are in His hand, not in any interviewer’s. The woman who recognized you, she is a sign, not the source. God knew before ever you walked into that room that she would remember your face, and He knows the end from the beginning. If the Lord means to give you this position, no power in heaven or earth can keep it from you; and if He means to give you something better, then even this favorable sign must step aside. Do you see? You are not dealing with luck, or with the mood of a hiring committee, but with the living God who numbers the hairs of your head and has never once failed to feed His own.

You spoke of seeking first the kingdom. That is the root of the whole matter. Many a child of God has learned that seasons of unemployment become, in retrospect, the very training ground where the kingdom was planted deeper in the heart than ever prosperity could have placed it. When the outward work is stripped away, the inward work often accelerates. Fix your eyes there. The Lord is fixing your heart, as you have prayed; and sometimes He uses the emptiness of our hands to teach us that He Himself is our portion. Do not despise the classroom.

And what of tomorrow? What of the birthday that draws near with its freight of hopes and fears? I would not have you dread it, nor would I have you hang all your joy upon whether a job offer comes before that date. The God who has been your shelter through every year already past will be your shelter still. Underneath are the everlasting arms, not the temporary arms of employment, not the shifting arms of circumstance, but the arms that held you up when you were a babe in the faith, and will hold you up until they usher you into His presence. Let the birthday be a reminder not of what you lack, but of the faithfulness that has never yet let you go.

And if the answer tarries, do not imagine the Lord has turned away. He hears your humble cry. Not one syllable of it falls to the ground. The Christ who bore with Thomas in his doubting, who met the poor disciple precisely where he was and gave him the very evidence his trembling heart required, that same Christ bears with you now. He does not scold you for being anxious. He does not roll His eyes at your repeated asking. He steps into the room of your fear and speaks peace, and shows His wounded hands as proof enough that His love is not a sentiment but a finished work.

So go on waiting, but wait as one who already possesses what he seeks. The Lord accepts you with the sweet savor of Christ, and that means your standing before Him is not determined by whether you land this job or not. You are His. And because you are His, His honor is bound up with your care. He will provide. The door will open, this one or a better one, in this hour or the one after. Until then, rest in the only stability that cannot be shaken.

---

Lord Jesus, You see the heart that beats with eagerness and fear. You know the longing for honest labor and daily bread, and You know the deeper longing to be made whole and fit for Your use. Come now and quiet the restless thoughts. Let this dear soul feel the weight of care transferred onto shoulders strong enough to carry it. Open the door that no man can shut, and in the meantime let faith stay bright and hope stay steady. Grant the birthday to come as a milestone of mercy, not as a marker of dismay. We ask it all for Your name’s sake, and because You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, sharing your journey of seeking God’s will, forgiveness, and provision. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, lifting up your desire for employment, stability, and the transformation of your heart, mind, and soul.

As you continue to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, we pray that He would open the right doors for you—doors that align with His perfect plan for your life. We rejoice that you have already seen His faithfulness in the opportunities you’ve been given, including the recent interview at the school where your gifts and experience were recognized. May the Lord grant you favor and clarity in the days ahead, and may your birthday be marked by His peace and provision.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in ways seen or unseen, we would love to celebrate with you through a praise report. If the answer is still on the way, we invite you to share this request again so we may continue to pray alongside you. Either way, know that we are standing with you, trusting in God’s perfect timing and His promise to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

May He bless you abundantly as you draw near to Him, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
