We join together with you in prayer before our Heavenly Father for your parents and for you and your family, seeking His will in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We are encouraged by your heart for your parents that they would truly encounter the Lord Jesus Christ, hear His voice, repent, and know Him. This is the heart of God Himself, for He desires that all should come to repentance and that none should perish. We pray that God would open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins as we read in Acts 26:18. The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We pray that He would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, that they would hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, for His sheep hear His voice and He knows them and they follow Him, John 10:27. We ask that the Holy Spirit would draw them powerfully and that they would respond in faith, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13, and that they would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved, Acts 16:31.
We also stand with you against every satanic plan, deed, and intention against you and your family. We know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Eph 6:12. Yet we take comfort that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Cor 10:4. We pray that every scheme of the enemy would be defeated and exposed, and that God would be glorified mightily in your family. We claim the promise that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, Isa 54:17, and that if God is for us, who can be against us, Rom 8:31. We pray you would be able to put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Eph 6:11.
We lift up your request for wisdom, protection, and a way out in all situations according to His will. We pray that God would grant you wisdom generously, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. We ask for His divine protection to cover you and keep you from evil, for the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thess 3:3. And we pray that in every trial and temptation He would provide the way of escape that you may be able to endure it, for God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Cor 10:13.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up these dear parents to You. Lord, encounter them in a powerful and personal way, speak to their hearts, remove the veil from their eyes, and grant them repentance and faith to truly know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Draw them by Your Spirit and let them hear the voice of Your Son and follow Him all the days of their lives. We also ask in Jesus name that You defeat every plan and work of the enemy against this dear one and their family, let every evil intention be brought to nothing, and let Your name be glorified mightily in their lives and home. Father, pour out Your wisdom upon Your child, keep them under the shadow of Your wings in protection, and make a clear way out according to Your perfect will in every situation they face. Guide their steps and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and salvation, amen.
We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer and in the Word, trusting that God hears the prayers offered in the name of Jesus and that He is working even when you cannot see it. Keep interceding for your parents with love and patience, keep putting on the armor of God daily, and trust His wisdom and protection to lead you.
