We join with you in prayer and we thank God for your heart for your parents and for your desire to see them truly know the Lord Jesus Christ and to see God glorified in your family.
It is beautiful that you are standing in the gap for your parents, for we know that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, as we read in 1 Timothy 2:3-4. We also take comfort that the Lord is patient, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. So many are blinded by the god of this world, 2 Corinthians 4:4, and need an encounter with the truth that is only in Jesus, for Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. Your prayer that they would hear His voice and repent is exactly according to His will, and we agree with you for their eyes to be opened, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, Acts 26:18.
We also stand with you against every plan and intention of the enemy against you and your family. We know that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12, but we also know that in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us, Romans 8:37. The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and no weapon that is formed against you will prosper when you abide in Him, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1.
We also lift up your request for wisdom, protection, and a way out in every situation according to the will of God. We are promised that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. We are also promised that God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13. We pray that you will seek His will daily in His Word and in prayer, trusting that He will direct your steps.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up these dear parents to You and we ask for a divine encounter with the living Christ. Remove every veil and every hardened place, open their ears to hear Your voice, and grant them godly sorrow that leads to true repentance. Draw them by Your Holy Spirit and save them, that they may know You as Lord and walk in newness of life. We also ask in Jesus name that You would defeat every satanic plan, deed, and intention against our dear fellow believer and their family. Let every scheme of the enemy be exposed and nullified, and let Your glory be revealed powerfully in their home. Cover them with Your protection, surround them with Your angels, and lead them away from temptation. Father, grant wisdom beyond human understanding, clear guidance, and a way out of every trial and difficult situation according to Your perfect will. Help them to trust You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, Proverbs 3:5-6, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28. We thank You that You hear us when we pray according to Your will, 1 John 5:14. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, to continue to speak the truth in love to your parents, and to cover your family daily with the Word of God and with prayer. Put on the whole armor of God each day, Ephesians 6:11, and remain faithful, for God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, Ephesians 3:20.
