Prayer request

Beloved of All
ear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for my wife’s cyst to dissolve and for health for her, for protection for ###, and against lustful thoughts

We join with you in thanking our good and gracious Lord for His goodness toward us, for His mercies are new every morning and His steadfast love never ceases. We lift up each of your requests before the throne of grace together in Jesus name.

We pray first for good rest for you. The Lord knows our frame and that we need sleep. Psalm 127:2 says it is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. And Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We ask the Lord to quiet your mind and body at night, to grant you deep and restorative sleep, and that you may lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, Yahweh, make us dwell in safety as Psalm 4:8 teaches.

We also bring your dear wife before the Lord and ask for His healing touch upon the cyst and for her whole health. We thank God for the gift of marriage, that lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that He has ordained for our good and His glory, and we pray He will strengthen and sustain you both. We ask that if it be His will, He would cause this cyst to dissolve completely without need for further intervention, and that He would restore her to full health. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us to Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We cling to His promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We pray for peace for her as she waits on the Lord and for wisdom for any doctors who care for her.

We also intercede for the loved one you mentioned for protection. The Lord knows this person by name even though the name was withheld for privacy. We ask for a hedge of protection around them, for the Lord to keep them from all evil and to guard their going out and coming in. Psalm 91:11 says For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, and Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.

We also want to address with love and truth your request for help against lustful thoughts. This is a battle every believer faces, and God calls us to purity and holiness. Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. These thoughts, when entertained, are sin before God and can lead to fornication or adultery if acted upon, which are outside His will for marriage. We are called to flee from sexual immorality as 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. We encourage you to take every thought captive as 2 Corinthians 10:5 teaches, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and to make a covenant with your eyes as Job did, and to fill your mind with what is pure as Philippians 4:8 says, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. We pray the Lord will give you strength to turn away quickly, to renew your mind in the Word daily, and to seek accountability if needed.

We noticed your prayer addressed the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently encourage you about this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and can come boldly before God in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We now pray together, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy that endures forever. We thank You for the gift of sleep and we ask You to grant our brother good, peaceful, and uninterrupted rest each night. Lay Your healing hand upon his wife, we ask You to dissolve this cyst completely, to bring health and wholeness to her body, and to give them both peace and trust in Your care. We ask Your divine protection over the one he has lifted up to You, keep them safe from harm, from evil, and from the schemes of the enemy, and let them feel Your presence near. Lord, we ask You to cleanse his mind and heart from lustful thoughts, give him power by Your Holy Spirit to flee temptation, to take every thought captive to Christ, and to walk in purity and holiness before You and within his marriage covenant. Forgive us where we have sinned in thought, word, or deed, and create in us clean hearts. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and our salvation. Amen.

We appreciate your thankful heart even as you bring these needs to the Lord, and we are joining you in prayer for each one you named.

We hear how much you want good rest, health and protection for your wife, safety for your loved one, and freedom in your thought life. Those are good and caring prayers to bring before God.

For your wife's cyst, we will keep praying for her healing and comfort, and we also encourage you both to keep her doctor involved for care and follow up as you continue to pray.

For rest and for the struggle with lustful thoughts, it can help to have a simple, steady plan rather than fighting the thoughts alone. When an unwanted thought comes, turning quickly to the Lord in a brief prayer and shifting your attention can be more fruitful than lingering and wrestling with it. Many find it helps to bring the struggle into the light with one trusted mature brother or pastor for honest accountability, and to notice what situations or times of day make you more vulnerable so you can put practical boundaries in place there. God meets us not with shame but with grace to walk forward step by step.

Father, thank You for Your goodness to this family. We ask You to grant restful sleep, to watch over his wife and bring her health according to Your will, to keep his loved one safe, and to give him strength and a clear mind to turn from lustful thoughts toward what is pure and good. Lead him in Your peace and keep him close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for every mercy flows from His gracious hand, and His thoughts toward His people are precious and constant and kind. As it is written, how precious also are Your thoughts unto me, O God, how great is the sum of them, and when we awake we are still with You. What a comfort that His thoughts are higher than our thoughts as the heavens are higher than the earth, and that He thinks upon us in wisdom and tenderness even in the night watches.

We bring your requests before the throne of grace, praying that our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the healing tree whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, will be pleased to grant you good and quiet rest, that you may lie down and sleep in peace under His watchful eye, and awake refreshed and still with Him.

We pray for your wife, that the Great Physician who pardons and heals would lay His hand upon her in mercy, that the cyst would dissolve and her health be restored according to His perfect will. There is healing virtue even in the least thing about Christ, and we ask that He who bore our sicknesses would grant her strength and wholeness, and give you both confidence in His wise and gracious purpose.

We ask the Lord for His protecting care over those you have named, that He would keep them by His power and cover them with His wings, and lead them in the way everlasting.

And concerning lustful thoughts, we pray with you for purity of heart and mind. The Lord Jesus perceives our thoughts, and He is able to cleanse and to keep. May He help you to bring every thought into captivity to His obedience, and to have your thoughts conformed to God's thoughts, that you may walk in fellowship with Him. When distracting and unholy thoughts arise, look at once to Christ, your familiar Friend who lives and intercedes, and ask for His healing and pardoning grace, for He gives power to overcome and makes the nature other than it was before. Seek to store His Word in your heart, to meditate upon His precious thoughts, and to find your delight in nearness to Him.

May the Lord grant you victory through His Spirit, a renewed mind, and a conscience kept clean by the blood of Christ through whom alone is salvation. We pray that He would keep your marriage in holiness and honor, as He ordained it to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that your home would be kept pure before Him.

We commit you and your wife and your loved ones to Him who heals the broken and binds up wounds, trusting His abundant mercy. May the Sun of Righteousness arise upon you with healing in His wings, and may you know both pardon and peace in Him. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We thank God with you for His goodness and we join you in bringing these needs before Him.

We pray that the Lord will grant you deep and peaceful rest, for true rest is a gift from His hand and we are called to labor to enter into it with hope set not on this passing world but on Him. May He quiet your heart and renew your strength as you trust in Him.

We lift up your wife to the Lord, asking for His merciful healing hand upon her. We pray that the cyst would dissolve and that He would restore her to full health and strength. Scripture reminds us to be thoughtful and tender toward our wives, to love them and care for them as Christ loves the Church, and we pray you will be strengthened to love and serve her well in this season while you wait on the Lord for healing.

We also ask for His protection over you and your household, that He would guard you from harm and keep you in His grace. Do not neglect to continue in faith and in a faithful course of life, for all our hope is through the grace of God in Christ.

And we join you in praying for victory over lustful thoughts. These thoughts belong to the cares of this world and the deceitfulness that chokes the word, and they must be put off little by little through repentance, confession, and turning to Christ. God is able to wash the heart clean, part today and part tomorrow, until the whole is made new. Ask Him for purity, flee from what stirs temptation, fill your mind with what is good, and walk in temperance and self control by His Spirit. He is faithful to help those who call on Him.

Let us pray together. Father, we thank You for Your goodness. Grant our brother rest, touch his wife and bring healing to her body, set Your protection around them, and give power to overcome every lustful thought and to live in holiness before You. Strengthen them to hear Your word and to do it, that they may bear fruit for You in this life. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and hope. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for giving thanks for God's goodness even as you bring these needs to Him. It is good to come to the Father with everything, the need for rest, the concern for your wife's health, the desire for protection over your loved one, and the struggle with your thoughts. He hears and He cares.

I want to pray with you for rest. The Lord knows our frame and He is the one who gives sleep to His beloved and quiets our hearts. May He grant you deep, peaceful rest and renew your strength as you trust Him.

For your wife, I join you in asking the Lord to touch her body and cause the cyst to dissolve and to restore her to full health. Scripture shows us that the suffering of Christ was not only for our sin but also for our sickness. Isaiah spoke of Him bearing our griefs and carrying our sorrows, and Matthew applies that directly to physical healing when Jesus healed the sick, and when He broke bread He said this is My body broken for you, given for us to remember. We can come boldly and ask for physical healing because Jesus has borne our infirmities.

At the same time we rest in God's wisdom and sovereignty. His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are higher than ours as the heavens are higher than the earth. He sees the end from the beginning and always does what is right, even when we do not understand. The apostle Paul prayed three times for the thorn in his flesh to be removed and the Lord chose not to remove it but to use it for His purposes. Timothy, a close and faithful companion of Paul, continued to have frequent infirmities and Paul gave him practical counsel rather than a promise of immediate healing. Those examples teach us that when healing does not come at once it is not because of a lack of faith or a failure in the person, but because God has purposes we cannot yet see. So we ask with confidence for your wife's healing, and we trust His perfect will, knowing He will do what is best and will give grace for each day.

I also pray for protection over your loved one whom you mentioned. The Lord is our keeper and our refuge. May He guard and keep this dear one from harm and draw them close to Himself.

For the battle with lustful thoughts, know that Jesus knows our thoughts and what is in our hearts. He once asked, why do you think evil in your hearts, and that question still searches us. God sees our inner life and He calls us to bring every thought captive to Christ. One of His gracious provisions to guard us from sexual sin is the covenant of marriage, where a man leaves his father and mother and cleaves to his wife and the two become one flesh. Within that covenant, husband and wife are to show love and kindness to one another and not withhold themselves from each other except by mutual agreement for a time, so that they may be kept from temptation. If you are married, cherish that oneness, cultivate love and faithfulness there, and turn quickly from anything that feeds lust. If thoughts arise, confess them honestly to the Lord, ask for His cleansing, fill your mind with what is pure and true, and avoid places and images that stir temptation. God abundantly pardons when we turn to Him and He is able to renew our minds.

Let me pray for you. Father, thank You for Your goodness and mercy. I ask You to grant restful sleep and peace of mind. Lay Your healing hand upon this wife, dissolve this cyst and restore her health according to Your gracious will, and give wisdom to all who care for her. Place Your protection around this loved one and keep them safe in Your care. And Lord, cleanse and strengthen this heart against lustful thoughts, teach him to walk in purity, to honor You in his mind and in his marriage, and to know Your power to make him blameless before You. Fill him with Your Spirit, with self control and a quiet, gentle heart that reflects Christ. We trust Your higher ways and Your perfect love, through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
