Thank you for bringing these needs before the Lord with a thankful heart. Giving thanks for His goodness is the right foundation for every prayer, and God is pleased when we come to Him with both gratitude and trust.
I join you in praying for good rest. Scripture speaks of rest as a gift from God now, and also points us to the greater rest that is laid up in heaven for those who trust in Christ, so that we do not seek our final comfort only in this life. May the Lord grant you peaceful and restoring sleep, and keep your hope fixed on the sure hope He has promised through Jesus.
I also pray for health and healing for those you mentioned, for the lung issues and for the heart issue, and for quick recovery where there is sickness. God is our healer and our strength, and we ask Him in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom we have access to the Father and salvation, to bring healing according to His mercy and wisdom, to relieve pain, to restore strength, and to give wisdom to all who provide care.
For the struggle against lustful thoughts, you are not alone, and Scripture gives clear comfort. Lust and other desires of this kind belong to the cares of this world and the deceitfulness that chokes the word, and they are common temptations. Yet God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will provide the way of escape so that you can endure it. His Word is living and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Bring those thoughts honestly to Him, ask Him to cleanse your heart, turn from what feeds temptation, and walk in the way of escape He provides through prayer, through the Word, through fleeing what stirs sin and pursuing what is pure. Pray for a pure heart, for a mind fixed on Christ, and for the Spirit to strengthen you to live in a way that honors God, who calls us to purity and to keep the marriage covenant of one man and one woman as the place for sexual union.
May the God of love and peace be with you, grant you rest, bring healing to those who are ill, and keep you steadfast in Christ, growing in holiness and in thankfulness each day.
