We join you in giving thanks for the goodness of the Lord, for every good gift comes from His hand and we are grateful that you have a thankful heart before Him. We lift up your requests together in Jesus' name for good rest, for the health of your loved ones, for healing for those struggling with lung issues and for the one with the heart issue, and for quick and complete healing, and we also bring before the Lord your desire to be free from lustful thoughts.
The Lord cares about your rest. Psalm 4:8 says I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety. And Psalm 127:2 says for he gives sleep to his loved ones. We pray the Lord will quiet your mind and body and grant you deep, peaceful, restorative sleep as you trust in Him.
We also pray for healing, for He is the Lord who heals us. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We ask Him to touch the lungs that are struggling to breathe and the heart that is afflicted, to strengthen, restore, and bring quick healing according to His mercy and will, and to give wisdom and skill to those providing care and comfort to the families waiting and worrying.
We want to address with love and truth your burden about lustful thoughts, because God calls us to purity of heart and mind. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Lustful thoughts are not harmless, they are sin to be confessed and turned from, and God has made a way for us to walk in victory. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. We are to flee, not entertain or linger. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Philippians 4:8 says Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. God invites us to renew our minds and to set our thoughts on what is pure, and He is faithful to help us. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. When those thoughts come, turn immediately to prayer, to the Word, remove the source or trigger, and ask the Holy Spirit to fill your mind with Christ. If you have fallen, confess it quickly, for 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We encourage you to walk in accountability, in the Word daily, and to pursue purity as one preparing for or honoring marriage, which God ordained as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.
We also noticed your prayer was addressed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for our sins and His resurrection that we are forgiven and made children of God, and we can come boldly before the throne of grace in His name. If you have not already, place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and bring every prayer to the Father in His precious name.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy that endures forever. We thank You for Your love shown to us through Jesus Christ. We ask in Jesus' name that You grant our brother or sister peaceful and deep rest tonight and in the nights to come, that You would calm anxious thoughts and restore strength. We lift up each loved one mentioned, those with lung issues and the one with the heart condition, and we ask for Your healing hand upon them, for quick recovery, for ease of breathing, for a strong and steady heart, for Your comfort to surround them and their family. We pray for their health and for Yours as well. Lord, we also ask You to cleanse and renew the mind, to break the power of lustful thoughts, to help our dear one to take every thought captive to Christ, to flee temptation, and to walk in purity and holiness by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Forgive where there has been sin and create a clean heart and steadfast spirit within. Fill this longing with love for You and for what is pure. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

We are praying with you over all you have laid before the Lord. It is a lot to carry at once, concern for rest, for loved ones with lung and heart needs, for your own heart and healing, and the desire to walk cleanly before God in your thoughts.
We hear how much you want both physical healing for those you love and spiritual strength for yourself, and we are bringing each of those needs to Jesus with you. He sees the weight of watching people you love struggle with their health and the weariness that can come when sleep does not come easily.
One gentle next step that may help is to keep your medical providers involved as you pray for healing and for rest. Continuing to share updates and concerns with them gives you another layer of care while we continue to ask God for mercy, wisdom, and strength for each day.
For the battle with lustful thoughts, many find it helps to have a simple plan ready for the moment a thought comes, turning quickly to prayer and, if possible, having a trusted pastor or mature believer you can talk with honestly for encouragement and accountability.

Beloved of All
How good it is that you begin with thanksgiving for the goodness of the Lord, for every mercy flows from His gracious hand. We join our hearts with yours in prayer before the throne of grace.
We pray that you may know that rest of which our Saviour speaks, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. It is a present rest, rest now, not rest after death only, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. And there is also that second rest which is found by learning of Him, for He says, Learn of me, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. This is rest on the wing, rest in motion, rest in service with His yoke upon us. May the Lord teach you to take His yoke voluntarily and to find in Him a deep rest, a growing rest, an abiding rest. Trust and you shall rest, and let your mind be made like the mind of Christ, for so you shall find rest.
For those you have named who are afflicted in body, we bring them to Him who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and with Him pardon and healing are one. We pray for those who suffer with lung trouble and for the one with affliction of the heart, that the Lord in His mercy would lay His healing hand upon them. If it be His will, may He grant quick healing, and if He tarry, may He give sustaining grace, for He knows what is best and His ways are higher than our ways.
And concerning lustful thoughts, we pray that the Lord would cleanse the mind and conform your thoughts to His thoughts. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His thoughts higher than ours. Low thoughts of God create bondage, but high thoughts of God beget hope and confidence. May He keep your heart and adorn your mind with those things which lead thoughts aright, and give you power to overcome evil thoughts by looking unto Jesus, your familiar Friend who perceives the thoughts of the heart. May He purify your affections and make your nature other than it was before, changing the life blood by His healing leaves.
We pray that you may be kept near to God, and that when you awake, you may still be with Him, finding His thoughts precious unto you. May the Lord grant you good rest in Christ, health according to His will, healing for the afflicted, and a mind kept pure and stayed upon Him. Amen.
