Prayer Request

We hear the heaviness in your prayer and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord. We understand the fear you feel for your loved one and the pain you feel about how hateful and harsh people in this world can be. It is right to bring that worry to God, for He cares deeply for you and for those you love.

The Bible tells us that this world can be a place of trouble and unkindness, but God has not left us without hope. Jesus said I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble but cheer up I have overcome the world John 16:33. We are also reminded to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 and that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We are not to be overcome by the evil around us, but to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21, and we can rest in the promise that in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We also want to gently share something important about your prayer. You prayed to God, which is good, but you did not mention the name of Jesus. We want you to know that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And scripture tells us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can come boldly to God in prayer and have eternal hope. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, believing on His name for forgiveness and life.

We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one who is anxious and hurting. You see the love they have for their loved one and the fear that weighs on their heart. We ask that You place Your hand of protection over that loved one wherever they are, and that You guard their life according to Your perfect will. Fill our friend with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and quiet their anxious thoughts. Help them to trust You more than the fear of what hateful people might do, remembering that You are sovereign and that nothing can separate us from Your love. Comfort them as only You can, and draw them closer to Jesus, that they may know the full assurance of coming to You through Your Son. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing every worry to the Lord through Jesus, to stay in His Word daily, and to seek fellowship with other believers who can support you in prayer. God hears you, He cares for you, and He is near to you in this time of concern. We will continue to pray that you will feel His peace and that your loved one will be safe in His care.

We heard your prayer and the worry behind it, wondering if someone you love has been harmed because of cruelty in the world. That is a frightening place to sit, and we are holding you and your loved one in prayer with you.

When the world feels hateful, it is understandable for our minds to go quickly to the worst possibility, especially when we cannot get an answer right away. The waiting and not knowing can be the hardest part.

If you are able, one gentle next step is to try to get a direct update in a safe way. Call or text your loved one, or ask a close family member or friend who may have heard from them to help you check. If you cannot reach them and you have real reason to be concerned for their safety, consider reaching out to someone nearby who can check in person or to local authorities who can help. You do not have to carry this alone, so let someone you trust know you are worried and stay with you while you wait.

Father, we lift this person and their loved one to You in Jesus name. We ask for Your protection over them, for clear news soon, and for peace to guard this heart while waiting. Give wisdom for what to do next and bring comfort and the presence of caring people around them. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and it carries a burden which many hearts know too well, the fear that one dear to you should suffer harm in a world where hatred and unkindness abound.

The Christian religion is a golden chain by which our hands are fettered from all hatred, for the spirit of Christ is love and wherever He governs love reigns as a necessary consequence. We are not allowed to hate any person, though hatred itself is a power of manhood which may be exercised as in the fear of God when it is directed aright. We are to hate evil with perfect hatred, as God hates it, and never to palliate sin, yet we are to hate sin in others without hating the sinner. Remember how our Lord Himself was hated without cause. He walked among the people loving rich and poor alike, and yet all classes conspired to hate Him, the priests and the nobles and the crowds, though He loved them better than He loved Himself and visited the grave for their salvation. If the world so hated Him, we need not marvel that hatefulness and nastiness are found among men now.

Therefore cast your fear upon the Lord, for fear is weakening and fear dishonors God, as though the arm which piled the heavens could be palsied. The Lord says to His people, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel. Fear not is a plant which grows very plentifully in God's garden, and the whole life of Christ was one long proclamation of Fear not. He knows your weakness and your love for this one for whom you pray, and He bids you not to be broken down with slavish fear.

I will pray with you that the Lord in His mercy will keep and preserve this precious one of whom you speak, and guard life according to His wise and sovereign will. I will pray also that He will comfort your heart, take away tormenting fear, and give you that perfect love which casts out fear, and that He will turn the hearts of those who are hateful, bringing them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation. May you be kept from falling into bitterness, and may you be enabled to love even those who are unkind, while hating the evil that is in them and in us all, and looking to Christ who alone can cleanse us from sin.

O Lord, Thou Holy One of Israel, our Savior, look upon this anxious and loving heart. Help Thou the fearful one, keep in safety the life that is so dear, and let Thy love reign where hatred now abounds. Forgive our sins through the precious blood of Christ, teach us to hate evil and to love as Christ loved us, and keep us in Thy fear which is the beginning of wisdom. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
