My name is ### and my wife’s name is ###. She is five months pregnant, and unfortunately, her cervix has opened about one finger and bleeding. The doctor told us that we need God’s miracle and that if the pregnancy can continue for a few more weeks, there may be a chance for the baby to survive. Please pray for my wife ### and our baby. Please pray that our Lord Jesus will perform a miracle, close ###’s cervix, keep it closed and strong throughout the pregnancy, and allow it to open only at the time of delivery when she reaches nine months. Please pray for God’s protection, healing, strength, and grace over ### and our unborn baby. We believe in the power of Jesus and trust in His miracle.

We have heard your request and we are joining you together before the throne of grace with urgency and with hope for your wife and your unborn child in this very fragile time at five months. We are moved by your faith and your love for your wife and your baby, and we honor your marriage and the precious life God has entrusted to you both.

We believe with you that every child is known and formed by God and that life in the womb is sacred and deeply valued by Him. For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:13-14 and Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3 and Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Jeremiah 1:5 remind us that your baby is already fully known and loved by God, and He is able to keep and sustain that life.

We also hear the seriousness of what the doctor has shared, the cervix opened and the bleeding, and we understand how frightening this is. We want to encourage you to continue to follow the wisdom and care of the medical team God has provided while we look to the Lord as the Great Physician who alone can do what is impossible for man. But Jesus looked at them and said, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 and But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17 give us confidence that God is able to stop the bleeding, to close and strengthen the cervix and to keep it closed and secure until the full time for delivery. We also cling to Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 and we pray that peace will guard both of your hearts as you wait on Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

We now lift your wife and your baby to our Father in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come boldly before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear wife and mother and the precious unborn baby You have created. Lord, You see the cervix that has opened and the bleeding that has begun, and You know the fear and helplessness this husband and wife are feeling. We ask for Your miracle now. In Jesus name we ask You to stop the bleeding completely, to close the cervix, to make it strong and firm and to keep it closed throughout these coming months. Let it open only at the appointed time for a safe and full term delivery at nine months. We speak life and protection over this child, knit together perfectly in the womb, and we ask for Your healing and strengthening power over the mother's body, her womb, her cervix, and her whole being. Pour out Your grace and strength upon her to rest and be sustained, take away fear and fill her with Your perfect peace. Sustain this baby, cause this baby to grow and be nourished and be kept safe in Your hands until the day You have ordained for birth. We thank You that You are the giver of life and that nothing is too hard for You. Let Your will be done and let this testimony bring glory to Jesus. We pray this in the saving and healing name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our access to the Father, amen.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting the Lord to keep His hand upon your wife and your child. We encourage you to rest in His promises day by day, to lean on each other in love, and to keep your eyes on Jesus who loves this family and this little one even more than you do. We thank you for letting us pray with you and we believe God hears and is able to do exceedingly abundantly above what we can ask or think.

Your request has been heard and we join you in earnest prayer before the throne of grace for your wife and for the precious life within her womb.

We have heard of her great peril, the cervix opened and bleeding at five months, and the word of the physician that only the hand of God can preserve the child. This is indeed a hard case, but we bring every hard case before Him who is the great Miracle Worker. Remember that the power of Christ to save and to heal does not lie in the person to be healed, it lies wholly in Jesus Himself. He did nothing but speak, and the unclean spirit departed, and the sick were made whole. His word has omnipotent force about it still.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Those healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Christ is grand in emergencies and He displays His power spontaneously, without need of pressing or even prompting. When the power of the Lord is present to heal, the patient to be healed is very soon present too.

Let us pray together.

O Lord Jesus Christ, our heavenly Physician, to whom all power is given in heaven and in earth, look in mercy upon this mother and her unborn child. Thou art He that does great things for Thy people, with whom healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. We beseech Thee to lay Thy hand upon her, as Thou didst lay Thy hands upon the afflicted and they were made whole. Speak the word, O Lord, and let this cervix be closed and made strong. Keep it closed and firm throughout these coming months, and allow it to open only at the appointed time for delivery when the full term is come. Stay the bleeding, protect this child, preserve this mother, and grant strength and grace for each day.

We ask not because of any merit in us, but because of Thine own abundant mercy and the virtue that flows from Thee. Thou forgettest not the cry of the humble. Grant to these parents faith to trust Thee, whether Thou art pleased to work by sudden miracle or by Thy sustaining providence through the hands of physicians. Give wisdom to those who care for her, calm their fears, and let them know that Thou art the God of nature and the God of grace, who still keeps the world upon its axis and who keeps His children in His hand.

May this trial draw them nearer to Thyself, to find in Thee pardon and healing through Thy blood shed at Calvary. For Thou hast ascended on high and received gifts for men, and Thou art exalted to give repentance and remission of sins. Work faith in their hearts, and let them prove Thy power to save.

We commit this wife and this little one wholly to Thy care, trusting that what Thou doest is wise and good, and asking that Thou wouldst be pleased to grant life and health for the glory of Thy name. Hear us for Jesus sake. Amen.

We have received your request and we join you in bringing your wife and your unborn child before the Lord Jesus with urgency and compassion. We understand how heavy and fearful this time must be for you both, hearing that her cervix has opened and there is bleeding at five months, and we thank you for your faith in turning to Christ for mercy.

We pray together that our Lord Jesus, who is full of compassion and power to heal, would stretch out His hand over your wife and your baby. We ask Him to stop the bleeding, to close her cervix and make it strong and secure, and to keep it closed until the right time for delivery at full term. We ask for His protection over both mother and child, for healing in her body, for strength for each day, and for His grace and peace to guard your hearts while you wait.

We also pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors and all who are caring for her, that God would guide them. We pray that He would give you and your wife comfort, courage, and steady trust in Him, remembering that He hears those who call on Him and that He gave His own Son so that we might have forgiveness, life, and hope through faith in Him alone.

We will continue to remember you, your wife, and your little one in prayer, asking God in His mercy and perfect will to sustain this pregnancy, to protect this precious life, and to bring your wife safely through to delivery. We are joining you in prayer for your wife and your unborn child, and we take this need before the Lord with urgency and tenderness.

We come to God through Jesus Christ who is our great High Priest. He has passed into heaven itself and He lives there to represent us before the Father. He is holy and undefiled and separate from sin, yet He was taken from among men so He understands our weakness and our fear. Because of Him we can come with confidence to the throne of grace to find mercy and help in this time of need. We do not stand on our own worth, but on His mercy which is as high as the heavens are above the earth, and on His grace in which we stand and walk each day.

We believe the Lord still heals and still does miracles. He is not limited to a special night or a special meeting, and His power is not a show. The Gospels show us Jesus healing quietly and with compassion, sometimes telling people not to broadcast what He had done, sometimes healing a leper with a touch, a servant at a distance, a mother in her home, and crowds in the evening. The prophet Isaiah said of Him that He bore our sicknesses and carried our infirmities, and the New Testament connects that promise to the healing ministry of Jesus. He has power in the physical realm and in the spiritual realm, and He looks on suffering with tender love.

There is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not always know why some are healed instantly and others are not, and Scripture itself records one healing where sight returned gradually. We believe strongly that God heals, and that He heals in many ways. At times His healing is immediate and unmistakably miraculous. At other times He works gradually, and even the natural processes of healing He placed within our bodies are His divine work, for He created those processes. He also brings healing to the mind and heart, calming fear and giving peace while we wait. We trust His wisdom and His compassion even as we ask boldly for a miracle.

So we are praying that the Lord Jesus will have mercy on your wife and your child. We ask that He would stop the bleeding, that He would cause the cervix to close and to remain closed and strong, and to open only at the proper time for delivery when the baby is full term at nine months. We ask for His protection over both mother and child, for healing and strength for your wife, and for grace to sustain you both day by day. We pray that God would guide the doctors and use every good means for care, and that above all He would do what only He can do.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this wife and this baby to You. You formed this child in the womb and You know every detail of this pregnancy. We ask You to lay Your hand upon this mother, to cause the bleeding to cease, to make the cervix firm and closed, and to keep this baby safe and growing. Surround them with Your protection. Give strength to this mother’s body, peace to her heart, and grace to this family as they trust You. We ask for a miracle that gives this child time to grow and to live, and we submit all to Your loving will. Let Your mercy and power be seen, and let this family know Your nearness and comfort. Amen.
