Prayer request
We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for God’s goodness, even as we lift up this prayer request. First, we thank the Father for His mercy and provision in every area of life. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that God is not only able but willing to bring healing, rest, and favor to those we pray for today.
Father, we lift up the precious little one mentioned in this request, baby ###. Lord, Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this child. Strengthen their body, calm any discomfort, and let Your peace surround them. Give wisdom and compassion to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers attending to them, that they may be instruments of Your healing power. We trust You, Lord, for complete restoration.
For ###, we pray for favor in every area of life, spiritually, emotionally, and practically. May doors that no man can shut swing open by Your hand, as Revelation 3:8 says, "I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut." Let Your favor go before them in their work, relationships, and daily walk. Remind them that favor is not found in luck or circumstance, but in Your presence and Your purpose for their life.
We also lift up the request for a new ###. If this refers to a new season, opportunity, or chapter in life, we pray that it would be aligned with Your will and bring glory to Your name. If this is in reference to a spouse, we pray for a godly marriage built on the foundation of Christ. The Bible instructs us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?" We ask that any desire for a spouse would be rooted in a pursuit of godliness, purity, and mutual faith in You. Guard hearts from impatience, compromise, or relationships that do not honor You.
Lord, we also take a moment to address any areas where we may have strayed from Your design. If there is unconfessed sin, whether in thought, word, or deed, we repent and ask for Your cleansing. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Let us walk in holiness, for Your Word says in Hebrews 12:14, "Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord."
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice, His resurrection, and His intercession that we have access to the Father. If anyone reading this does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge them to turn to Him today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, received by grace through faith.

Come, then, and bring these petitions to the mercy seat. You seek good rest: our Lord Himself says, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” That rest is not a distant hope after long striving, but a present gift given the moment you come to Him by faith. Cease from your own weary toil and take Christ’s easy yoke, for it is rest to labour for the Lord Jesus. Even in service you may rest, like a bird that sleeps upon the wing. Trust in Him alone, and you shall find deep, abiding rest for your soul this very hour.
For the healing of the little one: remember the leaves of the tree of life, which are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Pardon and healing go hand in hand; when He forgives, He sends a new life that begins to expel all the soul’s distempers and often touches the body too. Spread your child before Him in prayer, rest upon His boundless compassion, and you shall see that He is the great Physician who never fails.
And for favour and that new thing you seek: what a glad truth it is that the God of mercy goes before His people! He prepares the way and reserves a heritage of joy not yet tasted. The favour of God comes with a sweet savour of rest, as Noah’s offering brought the covenant of peace. He who bade the gospel begin at Jerusalem, among the very crucifiers of His Son, can readily begin anew with you. When you are at an end of yourself, you are at the beginning of your God. Rest in Him, and you will find that while you rest you bear most fruit, and before you dawns the mercy you have not seen. The hand that bled to purchase your peace is keeping fresh favour in store. Only trust, and you shall see it.

Humble Servant of All
The goodness of God is indeed the fountain of all blessings, and you do well to thank Him before you ask. But learn also what true rest is. You pray for good rest for the body, and that is a lawful need. Yet there remains a rest far greater, the rest for the people of God, which no weariness of the flesh can disturb. Our Lord Himself calls out, “Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest for your souls.” These words are not a parable now but plain speech. If you seek rest, do not only pray for sleep or ease from toil. Labor instead to enter that rest by laying down the heavy burden of sin and taking up His light yoke. The care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word and rob the soul of true repose. So, while you ask for bodily rest, strive for the rest that remains when the heart is not hardened by unbelief.
For the baby you commend to God for healing, remember that His mercy is not simply the removal of sickness. Mercy indeed releases from punishment, but grace does far more: it makes us righteous, sons and heirs, joint-heirs with Christ. This grace is exceeding abundant, and it comes to those who have faith and love in Christ Jesus. Believe that He is able to heal, but trust also that whether He grants physical healing or not, He bestows a greater gift, the salvation of that little one’s soul. Persevere in prayer, but do not suppose that hearing alone suffices. The child’s healing, if it comes, is a small thing compared to being made a child of God. And if the illness should remain, do not fall into the same example of unbelief as those who hardened their hearts in the wilderness. God’s withholding is often a greater mercy, drawing us to the rest above.
You also ask for favor and something new for another. I urge you to examine what favor you seek. Is it the favor of men, a new position, the increase of wealth? The multitude are deceived by riches, thinking they gain when they are actually diminished. True favor comes from God, who loves a cheerful giver. If you desire favor, learn hospitality, for in caring for the stranger and the poor you lend to the Lord. They are the healers of your wounds; their hands take your alms and your sins pass away with the money. Seek not the favor that puffs up, but that which makes you lowly in heart, for God resists the proud. Pray instead that this person may find favor in the eyes of the Lord by doing His will, for the servant who loves and obeys Christ is the one whom the Master honors. That is the newness worth seeking, not a change of outward circumstances, but the renovation of the inner man after the image of his Creator. Let your request be for the yoke of Christ to be laid upon that soul, that he may find rest even in whatever state he is placed.
The examples of the saints teach us this: Peter loved much, John was much loved, and James proved his zeal by his works and by drinking the cup of suffering. So shall favor be found, not by aiming at an easy life, but by following the meek and lowly One even through trials. All things, good rest, healing, favor, are added to those who seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Do not fall after the same example of unbelief, but with the faith and love that is in Christ Jesus press forward until you enter that eternal rest, where no sickness, no toil, no need of new things shall ever trouble you again.
