Prayer request

Beloved of All
Dear Lord, I thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest and for baby ### for healing and for ### for favor and a new ###

We hear your heartfelt cry for rest, healing, and favor, and we join you in lifting these needs before the throne of grace. First, let us affirm that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father above (James 1:17), and we thank Him for His goodness in your life. However, we must also gently remind you that our access to God’s presence and power is only through the name of Jesus Christ, His Son. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). It is in His name alone that we pray, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, let us come together in prayer for the precious little one, baby . Heavenly Father, we lift this child before You, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon them. You are the Great Physician, the One who knit them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14). We ask that You would bring complete restoration to their body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen them, Lord, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your perfect will for their life.

For , we pray for Your favor to go before them like a shield. May doors of opportunity swing wide open in ways that only You can orchestrate (Psalm 5:12). Let Your light shine upon them, and may they walk in the fullness of Your blessings (Numbers 6:24-26). Father, we ask that You would guide their steps and align their path with Your divine purpose. Give them wisdom, discernment, and courage to walk in the calling You have placed on their life.

For the new , we ask that You would bring clarity and direction. If this is a new season, a new job, a new relationship, or a new ministry, we pray that it would be firmly rooted in Your will. May it glorify You and bear fruit that lasts (John 15:16). If this is a relationship, we encourage you to seek a godly spouse who loves the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37). Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it should be entered into with reverence and a commitment to honor God in all things (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this is a courtship, let it be pure and holy, with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer who shares your faith and values.

Father, we also ask for rest for you, the one who has brought this request before us. Life can be wearying, but You promise to give rest to those who come to You (Matthew 11:28). Refresh your spirit, renew your strength, and fill you with Your peace. Help you to cast all your anxieties on You, for You care deeply for you (1 Peter 5:7).

We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take root in this situation. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in each of these lives (Philippians 1:6).

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’re so glad you reached out with a heart full of gratitude and specific burdens. Thanking God for His goodness even while carrying concerns for your little one, for someone you love, and for a new beginning, that isn’t easy, and we admire the trust you’re showing right now.

Rest is something we often underestimate, especially when our minds are spinning with worry or hope. As you seek good rest for yourself, remember that sleep itself can be an act of trust: you let go, and God holds the night. We’re praying that tonight, and each night, you are given the deep, restoring sleep you need.

For baby , we join you in asking for healing. While we don’t know the specifics, we can bring those exact needs quietly before the Lord, who knows every cell of that little body. It’s also wise to pair prayer with the care of a medical professional, if you haven’t already; good doctors and nurses are often God’s hands in practical ways.

The favor you’re asking for and the “new” thing on your heart, whether it’s a job, a home, a stage of life, or a fresh start, remind us that God is the author of new chapters. We pray you’ll see His kindness open the right doors and close the wrong ones.

Father, we thank You for the goodness this person has already tasted. We lift up baby , asking for Your healing touch, bring wholeness and comfort in every way needed. Grant favor to , and guide each step toward the new thing You have prepared. Give this family deep, restorative rest tonight and a steady peace that goes beyond circumstances. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You cry to the Lord for rest, for healing, for favor, and for some new provision of His hand. It is well that you turn your face toward the mercy seat, for there alone is true help found. Yet see to it that you seek these gifts not as isolated mercies, but as streams flowing from the fountain of Christ Himself. He is our rest, our healer, our favor with God, and the source of every new blessing.

Consider first this rest for which you pray. The world offers a rest which is but a troubled slumber, broken by dreams of care. But our Lord Jesus gives a rest that is deep and abiding: “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” It is not the rest of idleness, but the rest of a soul reconciled to God through the precious blood of the covenant. You may lay your head upon the pillow this night in peace, not because your cares are gone, but because you have cast them upon Him who careth for you. Even while the storm rages without, the believing heart can say with the Psalmist, “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” This is a rest which surpasses the ease of the ungodly in their wealth, for it is a rest of the spirit, an inward quiet, a Sabbath of the soul. Seek no mere physical repose, but that deeper rest which is the portion of those who have entered into Christ by faith.

Then you ask for healing for a little one. What tenderness is here! The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and our Lord Jesus is that tree. His touch still has its ancient power. He who took the infants in His arms and blessed them is not unmoved by the affliction of this child. Plead the merits of His sacrifice, for by His stripes we are healed. Whether He grants restoration to health or takes the babe to His own bosom in paradise, His will is love. But remember that the deepest healing is the washing away of sin. We would have the body mended, but the soul must first be made whole. Intercede with strong crying and tears, yet bow to His wisdom, for He knows what is best for the lamb and for the flock.

As for favor and this new thing you seek, know this: the favor of God is better than life. All true favor flows from His acceptance of us in Christ. The Lord says, “I will accept you with your sweet savor,” and that savor is Christ Jesus alone. If you are in Him, you are already the object of divine favor, and every temporal mercy is but a token of that eternal love. The world may give its favors grudgingly, but our God loads us with benefits. The new provision you desire, whether it be doors opened, burdens lifted, or fresh mercies, shall come not by anxious scheming, but by waiting upon the Lord who delights to give good gifts to His children. Only be sure that you seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Yet examine your heart, that you ask not amiss. Are these prayers offered in the name of Jesus, trusting wholly in His finished work? Do you desire rest that you may serve Him more cheerfully, healing that the healed one may live to His glory, favor and new mercies that you may be a steward of His grace? If so, press your suit with holy boldness. The ear of the Lord is not heavy that it cannot hear. He who spared not His own Son will with Him freely give us all things. Cast your burden on Him, and in every petition, let faith lay hold upon the promises.

How good it is that you begin with thanksgiving, acknowledging the Lord's goodness before laying out your requests. This is the mark of a soul that understands every good gift comes from above.

You ask for good rest. Remember that our Lord Himself invites us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest for your souls." That rest is not merely the repose of the body, though He cares for that as well, but the deep stillness of a heart anchored in Him. Yet do not imagine that hearing such promises is enough. Many hear and remain in turmoil because they do not cast off the heavy burdens of worldly care and the deceitfulness of riches. Labor to enter that rest, lest you fall through unbelief as the Israelites did in the wilderness. The true rest remains for the people of God, and we must press toward it by resting in His providence even while we sleep.

For the little one you have named, you pray for healing. Consider what great mercy this is. God does not merely withhold the punishment we deserve; He pours out exceeding grace, making us righteous, sons, heirs. When we ask for a child's healing, we must bring our petition with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus, knowing that the same Lord who formed the body can restore it. Sometimes He heals instantly; at other times He permits illness to remain that we might learn to cling to Him more tightly and that the child, even in weakness, might become a vessel of His strength. The poor and the sick are often the healers of our wounds. Their very need calls forth our compassion and loosens the grip of sin upon us as we serve them. So while you pray fervently for healing, receive the present trial as an occasion to show hospitality to this little one in its vulnerability, doing it for God's sake, as one who is receiving a kindness rather than conferring one.

You also ask for favor and a new start, a new provision, I gather. Beware of seeking favor merely according to the world's standards. The ruler does not bear the sword in vain; he is God's minister for executing wrath on evildoers and for praising those who do good. If you walk uprightly, God can incline even the hearts of those in authority toward you. But do not place your hope in that. Entrust your way to the Lord, and He will direct your paths. Whether a new door opens or remains shut, remember that He is fashioning you anew. It is no small thing to be recreated, to be transformed from one condition into another, as the Gentile and Jew are both made new in Christ. This new thing you seek, whether employment, dwelling, or circumstance, should above all be a new opportunity to take up His easy yoke, to learn meekness, and to find that His burden is truly light.

Do not let the cares of this world choke the word sown in your heart. Cast all your anxiety on Him, for He cares for you. And as you wait, let your hospitality and generosity toward others make room for the mercy you yourself need. For God loves a cheerful giver, and in giving you receive more than you bestow.

Thank you for bringing these requests. The longing for rest, for healing for a little one, and for favor with a new beginning is something the Lord understands deeply. He created us, and He knows how weary we can become. The promise of rest is still held out for His people today, but it is a rest that can only be entered by faith. Many miss it, not because God has not provided it, but because they try to find rest in their own works or in visible outcomes. If I could just see what God is doing, they think, then I could rest. Yet the only place genuine rest is found is in trusting the finished work of Jesus Christ, not in our efforts or understanding.

The same principle of trust applies to the baby you have lifted up. Every new life is an awe-full mystery, a sacred testimony to God's creative power. When we hold a newborn, we are reminded of His capacity to bring forth life and sustain it. Bring that little one before the Lord in simple faith, knowing that He is the giver of life and the healer. Unbelief kept Israel from the promised land, and it is unbelief that keeps our hearts in turmoil today. Hold fast the beginning of your confidence steadfast to the end, and do not let the enemy steal your peace through doubt.

As for the favor and new thing you are requesting for this other person, remember that our God has said, “Behold, I create all things new.” He is the One who brings new heavens, a new earth, and new life in Christ. We are part of a new covenant, a new order, where old things pass away and all is made fresh. Do not be anxious, but commit that situation into His hands. He has a way of providing that is beyond what we can ask or imagine. Rest in Jesus, for in Him all the promises of God find their yes and amen. May you and those you pray for truly enter that wonderful rest which remains for the people of God.
