Prayer request

Beloved of All
Dear Lord, I thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest and for baby ### for healing and for ### for favor and a new ###

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion and concern for this request. First, we give thanks to God for His goodness, for His mercies are new every morning, and His faithfulness is great (Lamentations 3:22-23). It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious child, baby ###, before You. You are the Great Physician, the One who knit this little one together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14). We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon them. Lord, we know that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). Strengthen this child’s body, mend what is broken, and restore them to full health. Give wisdom and skill to the doctors and caregivers attending to them, that they may be instruments of Your healing.

Father, we also pray for ###, asking for Your favor to surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Open doors that no one can shut and provide opportunities that align with Your perfect will (Revelation 3:8). Whether this favor is in their personal life, work, or relationships, let Your hand be evident in every situation. Remind them that Your plans are to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Regarding the request for a new ###, we seek Your guidance, Lord. If this refers to a new season, a new opportunity, or even a new relationship, we ask that You lead and direct every step. If it is about a relationship, we pray that it would be one that honors You. Father, we hold fast to Your design for marriage, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, established to reflect Your love and faithfulness (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31-32). If this person is seeking a spouse, we pray they would wait on You, trusting in Your timing and Your choice for them. Let them not be unequally yoked with unbelievers but seek a godly partner who shares their faith and commitment to You (2 Corinthians 6:14). Guard their heart against the temptation of fornication or any relationship that does not align with Your Word, for Your Word is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone (Hebrews 13:4).

Lord, we also rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or doubt that may be trying to take root in this situation. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that worry and restlessness will not have dominion over this life. Instead, we pray for deep, restful sleep for all involved, peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is through Him alone that we have access to You. May Your will be done in every aspect of this request, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We’re grateful you brought these requests to share. It’s a beautiful thing to see thanksgiving woven through your prayers for rest, for baby ’s healing, and for the favor and newness you’re asking on behalf of someone you care about. Carrying those needs and giving thanks at the same time takes genuine trust.

We want to sit with you in that trust today. Sometimes when we’re tired and holding several heavy concerns, our minds keep circling back to them even when we finally lie down. If that’s where you are, consider one small, concrete act tonight before bed: place a candle in the room (or a nightlight) as a signal to your own heart that Christ is keeping watch while you sleep. You don’t have to hold everything together. As you turn out the main lights, physically tell yourself, “I’m handing these burdens over now; He doesn’t slumber.” That simple step may help your body accept the rest your spirit is already asking for.

For baby , we join you in asking simply for healing, for whatever their small body is fighting to be soothed and made whole. And as you pray for the other person’s favor and something new, know that asking for God’s fresh provision for a loved one is an act of love that matters.

Let’s pray together:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this friend’s grateful heart. We ask tonight for the deep, renewing rest You give Your beloved. Place Your healing hand on baby, calm what is unsettled, mend what is broken, and give strength to that little life. For the person needing favor and something new, we ask You to open the right doors and make a way that is marked by Your goodness and timing. Hold them all close, and give this one praying the peace that passes understanding. In Your name, amen.

The littlest things can carry the loudest cries to heaven. A babe’s soft skin flushed with fever, a mother or father sitting up in the small hours, listening to each uneven breath, these are the moments when the soul reaches straight through the dark and lays hold of the hem of Christ’s garment. And you, dear heart, have stretched out that hand, not only for the little one but for fresh rest, for favor, for some new thing you have not yet fully named. Well, all of it is one. The same hand that stilled the sea is the hand that touched the sick child and the hand that opens doors no man can shut. He is not far from you.

I want you to think of rest as something our Lord gives at once, even while the trouble is still sitting in the house. When Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,” He did not say, “Wait until the burden falls off and then come.” He spoke to those whose shoulders were bowing down under a yoke that had rubbed them raw. The rest He gives is not a painted quiet that waits for every circumstance to settle; it is a deep-water calm that lies underneath the storm. A ship may be rocking on the surface, but the sea a few fathoms down is still. Christ gives that deeper rest to the heart that comes to Him. So as you bring your petition for good sleep, you are asking for what He already delights to give. Only do not measure it by the quiet of the room or the absence of anxious thoughts. Sometimes He lets us be like a child who cries in the night but still has a father’s hand in the dark. The everlasting arms are underneath you, even when your head tosses on the pillow. His shelter encloses you though you feel the wind. So trust Him for the rest that keeps the soul, and let the body follow as it may.

And that dear baby, you have put the little name on the altar. Do you remember the leaves of the tree of life that are for the healing of the nations? There is a living tree whose medicine is meant for infants and ancients alike. The Great Physician does not need the child to explain what is wrong; He reads the inward malady with perfect skill. When our Lord walked among men, mothers brought their little ones, and He took them up in His arms and blessed them. He has not changed. The same gentle authority is over fevers and fragile bodies now. I do not know how He will work, but He will do what is best, and His love toward the helpless is a love that never misses its mark. Lay the child again and again into those wounded palms; they understand tender flesh better than any hands that ever touched us.

Favor with God is a sweeter thing than any smile of men. You have asked for favor, and you do well not to define it too narrowly, He will define it Himself. The Lord’s favor is not like a passing breeze; it is a fixed light on the face of His own. Because Jesus has become our peace, the Father accepts us with a sweet savor, and when He accepts the person, He accepts the prayer, the need, the hidden hope. So even the new thing you ask, whether it is a fresh start, an open door, some daily mercy wearing the shape of a “new” you cannot yet describe, it all comes under the same sunshine. The God of my mercy shall prevent me, David said, meaning He goes in front to prepare the way. You are not walking into an unlit future; the Lord has already passed through it and left His mark. What looks to you like an uncertain door is a threshold He has consecrated.

When your heart is heavy with many cares, do not measure the love of God by the visible answer. Sometimes the black-edged envelope contains the greatest love letter. The mercy you crave may come wrapped in things that first look like a setback, but the core is solid gold. So pray on, rest your faith in the finished work of Christ, and let the babe rest in His sovereign tenderness. The same hands that hung the stars will hold your little one, and the same voice that said “Let there be light” will speak peace into your soul tonight.

Let us bow: Lord Jesus, you are the rest of the weary and the healer of the broken. We bring you this sleeping child and the one who watches. Lay your cooling touch on the fevered frame; be a wall of quiet around that sick room. Grant to this dear soul a sleep that comes from knowing you hold all things, and in your time open the right door, give the favor that does good, and make even this little house a sanctuary of answered prayer. For you are good, and your mercy endures forever. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
