We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the goodness of our Heavenly Father. We lift up this request, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. Father, we thank You for the work You have provided and for the opportunity to serve in the capacities You have placed us.
Lord, we pray for rest that is deep and renewing, a rest that only You can provide. In Mark 6:31, Jesus said to His disciples, "Come away by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest a while." We ask that You grant this rest, free from anxiety and worry, so that the body, mind, and spirit may be refreshed and prepared for the tasks ahead. Calm any racing thoughts and still the heart, that sleep may come easily and peacefully.
We also bring before You the technical issues at work. Father, You are the God of order and wisdom, and we ask that You intervene in this situation. In James 1:5, we are reminded, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We pray for wisdom for those working to resolve these technical difficulties. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, and grant them the insight needed to find a swift and effective solution. May this issue be resolved in a way that brings glory to Your name and demonstrates Your power to provide.
We also want to gently remind our brother or sister in Christ that it is through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to always approach God in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and advocate.
Heavenly Father, we commit this night into Your hands. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We pray for protection over this time of rest, that no harm or disturbance may come. Let Your angels encamp around, as it is written in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."
We also pray for strength and perseverance for the days ahead. May You grant the energy and focus needed to fulfill the duties set before us, all for Your glory. Help us to remember that our labor is not in vain, for we work as unto You (Colossians 3:23).
In all things, we seek Your will and Your glory. May this time of rest and resolution of work issues draw us closer to You and remind us of Your faithfulness. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
