We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the goodness of our Heavenly Father, who is the giver of every good and perfect gift. We lift up this request, acknowledging that true peace and rest can only be found in Him. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We pray for deep and restorative rest for you and your household tonight. May the Lord, who neither slumbers nor sleeps, watch over you and keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him (Psalm 121:3-4, Isaiah 26:3). We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or restlessness that seeks to disturb your peace, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). May His presence fill your home, bringing comfort and tranquility to every heart under your roof.
For your travels tomorrow, we pray for the Lord’s protection and guidance. May He order your steps and surround you with His angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We declare safety over every mile you travel and ask that the Lord grant you favor and smooth journeys. May His hand be upon you, shielding you from harm and danger.
We also pray for your health, both physical and spiritual. May the Lord strengthen your body and renew your spirit, for He is the Great Physician who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask that He fill you with His vitality and grant you the wisdom to care for the temple He has entrusted to you (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Father, we know that nerves and anxiety can often feel overwhelming, but we declare that your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We speak calmness over your spirit and rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to steal your joy and rest. May you find comfort in the promise of Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray that you cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Lord, we also take a moment to acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we have access to the Father and the peace that comes from knowing Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of true peace and rest.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

There is a precious promise for such a night as this, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." What a mercy that perfect peace is not a distant hope but a present possession, even in this dark world of sin, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within.
We join our hearts with yours in prayer for you and your household. We ask the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps to give you that calm which the world cannot give, the peace of Christ which is profound and unruffled, the great peace which belongs to those who love His law. May He quiet your nerves and still every anxious thought, for anxiety unfits us for the duties of the morrow, but trust fits us for all things. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest, and on Jesus bosom nothing but calm is found, even when sorrows and cares surge round.
We pray that He will give His beloved sleep. It is the sleep of a quiet conscience made right with God through the atonement, the sleep of contentment and of security, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. May the Lord spread His wing over your home tonight and keep you in safety, and may He grant to each one under your roof a refreshing rest that restores both body and soul.
