We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your need for rest, peace, and calmness for yourself and your household. We are grateful that you acknowledge the Lord’s goodness, for it is in Him that we find true rest and peace. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We recognize your struggle with nerves, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to fill you with His peace that transcends all understanding. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." Let us hold fast to this promise as we pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We ask You to grant ### and their household deep and restful sleep tonight. Lord, let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds. Calm their nerves and ease any anxiety, replacing it with the tranquility that only Your Spirit can provide. We pray for safe travels and good health for them tomorrow, that they may go about their day under Your protection and guidance.
Father, we also ask that You strengthen their faith and trust in You. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). May they find comfort in Your presence and assurance in Your promises. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your light shine upon their path.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold in their lives. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we stand firm in the knowledge that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that ### and their household will experience the fullness of Your peace and rest tonight and always.
In all things, may Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified. We pray this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

The desire you have expressed for rest and peace is one which the Lord Himself delights to answer, for it is written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. There is a perfect peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within, even in this dark world of care, and it is a present possession to be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life, with sorrows surging round and with duties pressing.
We join our prayer with yours for this night, that He who giveth His beloved sleep would grant it to you and to your household. That sleep is not the heavy slumber of carnal security, but the sleep of a quiet conscience, of contentment and of security in Christ, where a man may lie down and say, With the world, myself, and Thee, I, ere I sleep, at peace shall be. May the Lord calm your nerves and still your thoughts, for the mind is the main thing, and anxiety itself unfits us to meet our trials. Cast your care upon Him, and let your mind be stayed upon Christ, and His peace, which is not as the world giveth, shall keep your heart.
We pray also for the morrow, that the Lord would keep you in safe travel and in good health, for in Jesus keeping we are safe. Whether at home or abroad, whether waking or sleeping, may you know that profound and unruffled peace which Christ calls My peace, that great peace which they have that love His law. May He bless His people with peace, and may you find that to do the will of Jesus is rest, and on Jesus bosom nothing but calm is found.
We commend you and all your household to that gracious keeping, beseeching the Lord to cover you this night, to quiet your spirit, to renew your strength, and to guide your steps tomorrow in health and safety, through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation and peace. Amen.
