Prayer request

Beloved of All
He won't stop watching it; it's very disturbing and uncomfortable and disgusting. Like, I don't care what anyone is doing, but he keeps watching Law and Order, and all they talk about is rape and showing sexual stuff. It's gross and uncomfortable, and I don't understand why he has no respect and still watches it. In my opinion, it's disgusting and inappropriate. I hate Law and Order and I hate predators. I hate when people do evil stuff on purpose. I just hope God takes me away from this. I just want peace and quiet. My dad won't stop.

We hear your deep distress and share in your grief over the darkness that seems to surround you. The content you describe is indeed disturbing, and it is not wrong to feel discomfort or even revulsion at the glorification of sin and violence. The world often normalizes what God calls abominable, and it is painful to witness those we love being drawn into it. Scripture warns us, *"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2). What your father is watching is not aligned with the purity and holiness God calls us to, and it grieves the Holy Spirit when we entertain such things.

We must also address the deeper issue here—your father’s heart. The eyes are the lamp of the body (Matthew 6:22-23), and what he allows into his mind will shape his soul. If he is a believer, he must be confronted in love, not just for your sake, but for his own spiritual well-being. *"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any excellence, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8). We rebuke the spirit of desensitization and addiction to sinful entertainment in Jesus’ name. This is not harmless; it is a foothold for darkness.

To you, dear one, we say: your pain is valid, and your desire for peace is godly. But we must caution you against despair. Wishing to be taken away is not the answer—God has placed you here for a purpose, even in this trial. *"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world"* (John 16:33). You are not powerless. You can pray, set boundaries, and speak truth in love, even if it is difficult.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the darkness that has taken root in this home. Lord, we ask that You would open our brother’s eyes to the corruption he is welcoming into his mind. Break the hold of this addiction, Father, and replace it with a hunger for righteousness. Convict him deeply, not with shame, but with Your loving correction, so that he may turn away from these things and seek purity.

For our sister, Lord, we ask for Your peace to guard her heart and mind. Strengthen her to stand firm in what is right, even when those around her do not. Give her wisdom in how to respond, whether through prayer, gentle rebuke, or setting boundaries. Protect her from bitterness and despair, and remind her that she is not alone—You are her refuge.

We rebuke every spirit of lust, violence, and desensitization in this home, and we declare that this house belongs to You. Let Your light expose every hidden thing, and let Your love transform what has been broken. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently, not just for your father’s habits, but for his heart. If he does not know Christ, pray for his salvation. If he does, pray for revival in his soul. And do not lose hope—God hears your cries, and He is working even when you cannot see it. *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are seen, you are loved, and you are not abandoned. Stand firm in faith, and trust that God will bring beauty from this pain.

We hear you, dear one, and we're here with you in this. It's heartbreaking to see someone we love choosing to watch such disturbing content. It's like they're inviting darkness into their home, and it's affecting everyone under that roof. We understand your discomfort and disgust, and we share your frustration. It's not right, and it's not okay.

We've been thinking about this, and we believe it's important to approach this situation with love and understanding. Remember, your dad is not just watching something inappropriate; he's also hurting. Maybe he's trying to escape from something, or maybe he's just lost his way. We need to show him compassion, even as we firmly stand against what he's doing.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come to You with heavy hearts. We ask You to open our dad's eyes to the harm he's causing himself and our family. Help him see the darkness he's inviting into his mind and heart. Convict him, Lord, but do it with love and compassion. Help him understand that You have a better way for him.

For us, Lord, give us wisdom. Help us know how to respond, how to set boundaries, and how to love our dad well. Protect our hearts from bitterness and give us peace in the midst of this storm.

We rebuke every spirit of lust, violence, and desensitization in our home, Lord. We declare that this house belongs to You, and we ask You to fill it with Your light and love.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep praying, dear one. Keep loving. And remember, you're not alone. We're in this together, and God is with us every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer these past few days. Your distress over the things being watched in your home is completely understandable, and we have lifted this burden before the Lord, asking Him to surround you with His peace and protection. The discomfort and heaviness you feel are real, and we pray that God would shield your heart and mind from anything that does not align with His holiness.

We have asked the Holy Spirit to move in power, bringing conviction where it is needed and softening hearts to turn away from what grieves Him. We’ve prayed for wisdom and grace for you, that you would not grow weary in standing for what is right, even when it feels difficult or lonely. Most of all, we’ve asked God to fill your home with His presence, replacing fear and frustration with the quiet assurance that He is in control.

If the situation has changed—if there has been repentance, a shift in what is being watched, or even just a fresh measure of peace in your heart—we would love to hear how God has worked. Your praise report could be an encouragement to others who are facing similar struggles. If, however, the heaviness remains and you still feel surrounded by darkness, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue praying with you, believing that God hears and answers the cries of His children.

Above all, we pray that you would feel the Father’s love drawing near to you in this season. May He remind you that you are not alone, that He sees your distress, and that He is working even when you cannot see it. May He grant you moments of quiet rest in His presence, where His peace surpasses all understanding. We stand with you, trusting that God will lead you into a place of greater peace and safety.

In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
