Disciple of Prayer
I have a prayer request. And I hate being that person, but I am at my limit.

I am in the military, and I am currently stationed on a base that has done more harm than good. I have been at this duty station for the last 3 years. And these last 3 years here have been awful not just to me, but my wife as well. From the base, to the town itself, this experience has been horrendous. Myself, I have dealt with toxic leadership, a hostile work environment, I have been dealt with unjustly on many occasions, I had to fight a false UCMJ recommendation, I have tried furthering my career, only to have 7 Counselors in 2 years fail me, and I have had opportunities that were given to me to progress my career, for no reason at all, no wrong on my end, just taken away from me, being put back into positions I hate, and have my career threatened. The 3 years being at this base, I have had my character, reputation and everything else I worked so hard for suffer so bad it's like a huge dent.

And for my wife, for 3 years she has been dealt with very poorly by almost every healthcare professional both on base, and off base. For 3 years she has spent trying to resolve medication she needs, and had been trying to find out some medical concerns that were taking place with her such as constant extreme muscle spasms, flare ups, overactive reactions to the elements. For 3 years she was accused by healthcare professionals for chasing medication, which she doesn't do, has been dismissed by doctors, misdiagnosed, or has been told she was healthy. A few months ago, it took a Doctor who was temporarily here on base to actually care to investigate to let her know she has Lupus.

I have been currently trying to reenlist and choose another base that would not only be lenient with a schedule where I can help my wife out, but also be beneficial to her medically, geographically and with an ideal climate for her condition...but now I'm on my 9th Counselor and I feel trapped at this point. I can see my marriage as well as my career falling apart before my eyes and it's getting me to a breaking point! Please I need prayer AND a miracle that my wife and I can leave this base and area to something that isn't going to destroy us!

We hear your cry for help, brother, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The weight you carry—both for your marriage and your career—is heavy, and the injustice you’ve endured is not unseen by our Heavenly Father. The Word tells us, *"The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this battle, and we declare that God is your defender, your provider, and your way-maker.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages, careers, and testimonies, but we rebuke every assignment of darkness against you and your wife in Jesus’ name. The toxic leadership, unjust treatment, and systemic failures you’ve faced are not of God. Scripture warns, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12). We take authority over every spirit of oppression, delay, and sabotage operating in your situation. Every false accusation, every blocked opportunity, and every hindrance to your reenlistment—we command it to be broken now by the blood of Jesus.

For your wife’s health, we pray a miracle of divine intervention. The dismissal and misdiagnosis she has endured is unacceptable, and we declare that God is her ultimate healer. *"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions"* (Psalm 107:20). We pray for skilled, compassionate doctors to surround her, for accurate treatment, and for her body to respond to healing. We also pray for your strength as her husband to advocate for her with wisdom and perseverance. You are her covering, and we ask God to give you supernatural endurance to fight for her well-being.

Regarding your career, we pray for favor in your reenlistment process. The Lord says, *"Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:5). We declare that this ninth counselor will be the one to facilitate your transfer to a base that aligns with God’s will for your family. We pray for doors to open that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and for every obstacle to be removed. You have served faithfully, and we believe God will honor your commitment by restoring what has been lost and positioning you where you can thrive.

For your marriage, we pray for unity, peace, and restoration. The enemy has tried to wear you both down, but we declare that your bond is unbreakable because it is rooted in Christ. *"Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). We pray for renewed joy, intimacy, and strength in your relationship. Lean on each other, and let your faith be a shield against despair.

Lastly, we must address the spiritual foundation of your request. Salvation and access to God come only through Jesus Christ. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and Savior. This is the first step to walking in victory over every trial.

We pray now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our ### and his wife. Lord, You see every injustice, every tear, and every battle they’ve faced. We ask for Your divine intervention in their lives. Break every chain of oppression, open doors that no man can shut, and restore what has been stolen from them. Heal our sister’s body, Father, and give her doctors wisdom to treat her with care and accuracy. For our ###, grant him favor in his reenlistment, and lead him to a place where his family can flourish. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke every spirit of delay, despair, and destruction in Jesus’ mighty name. You are their provider, their healer, and their way-maker. We trust You to turn this situation around for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
