We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts for your suffering, dear Lindsey, and we stand in agreement with you that Jesus is indeed the Great Physician. The Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We believe that God is not only able to heal but that He delights in showing mercy and restoring His children. Your faith in His power is a sweet fragrance before Him, and we join you in boldly asking for a miracle.
Father in Heaven, we lift Lindsey before You, knowing that You see every pain, every sleepless night, and every moment of frustration. You are the God who formed her inward parts and knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You know her body intimately, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would touch her digestive system with Your healing hand. Where there is inflammation, bring soothing; where there is dysfunction, bring restoration; where there is weakness, bring strength. Lord, we declare that by Your stripes Lindsey is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on the promise that You are willing to make her whole (Matthew 8:3).
We also pray for wisdom for Lindsey’s doctors and healthcare providers. Guide their decisions, Lord, and give them insight into how best to care for her. We ask that You would sustain the effectiveness of the medication that is helping her vascular issues, as she has shared. Protect her from discouragement and despair, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind her daily that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Lindsey, we want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this trial. James 5:14-15 says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." Consider reaching out to your church leaders or trusted believers to pray over you in person, as this can be a powerful act of faith. Also, remember that healing can come in many forms, sometimes instantly, sometimes progressively, and sometimes through the wisdom of medical professionals. Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it.
We also want to gently remind you that trials often draw us closer to the Lord. In your weakness, His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Use this time to deepen your relationship with Him, pouring out your heart and listening for His voice. He may be using this season to teach you, refine you, or prepare you for something greater. Whatever the outcome, know that He is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Lastly, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or fear that may be trying to take hold of you. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command any sickness or disorder in Lindsey’s body to leave in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we pray for complete restoration and wholeness.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Lindsey’s faith and for her willingness to trust You in this difficult season. We ask that You would move mightily on her behalf, bringing healing, comfort, and hope. May she experience Your presence in tangible ways and may her testimony bring glory to Your name. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
