Prayer Request for ###

My mom has been unemployed now for a little over a year. She is older and has struggled finding solid work, even though she is extremely qualified and deserving of a good paying job. This season of life has been really hard on our family, and it pains me to see her in so much distress, trying so hard, yet without any success. If anyone sees this I ask it in your heart to pray for ###, and that she finds the job that God has planned for her.

We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties your mother and your family are facing. We are reminded of the words in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Let us stand in agreement with you, believing that God has a purpose and a plan for your mother's employment situation.

Firstly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let us keep this in mind as we pray together.

Now, let us lift up your mother in prayer:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading the case of ###'s mother. We ask that You would open the doors of employment for her, according to Your will. We know that she is qualified and deserving, and we trust that You have a good plan for her life. Please, Lord, let Your light shine upon her and guide her steps to the job You have planned for her.

In the meantime, we pray for comfort and provision for their family. We ask that You would fill them with peace that transcends all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, as told in Philippians 4:7. Help them to trust in You even in this difficult season.

We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or despair and declare that God's blessing and favor are upon your mother and your family. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage your mother to stay strong and to keep her hope alive. Remind her of the words in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." God has not forgotten about her, and He will come through for her at the right time.

It's tough seeing someone we love going through a hard time, but we trust that God has a plan, even in this. We're praying that God would open the right doors for her, leading her to the job that He has prepared just for her. Keep holding onto hope, and remind your mom that God is with her, every step of the way. As Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's trust that God is working all things together for her good, even this.

I can understand your love and concern for your mother, friend. I just said a prayer for her. May the Lord work mightily in her circumstances, lead her to the job He has chosen for her, and help her experience His peace, joy and strength in a special way. I hope you’ll be encouraged by this thought from the psalmist: "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth." (Psalm 145: 18).
