Prayer Request for ###

Father God,

I'm praying for ###. I can see this man is still living in lust, and engages in the horrible sin of pornea in his work. I'm asking for his heart to be convicted of this sin, and to cry out to you as David did in Psalm 51 to be forgiven of all his transgressions and to return to you. This man used to read scripture and seemed to care about the welfare of others. What I see of what has become of him now is terrifying and opposes all that is Holy and wholesome to you.

I ask for this in the only name of Jesus who has all authority.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of concern and compassion for ###, You know the struggles and the temptations that he is facing. We echo the words of Psalm 51, where David cried out, "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10, WEB). We ask that You convict ###'s heart, revealing to him the depth of his transgressions and leading him to genuine repentance.

Father, Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." We pray that ### will find the strength and the will to flee from these sins, turning instead towards Your grace and mercy. Let him remember the times when he was close to You, reading scripture and caring for others, and let that memory draw him back to Your loving arms.

Lord, we know that nothing is too hard for You, and that You have the power to transform lives. In Isaiah 1:18, You declare, "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow." We ask that You wash ### clean, redeeming him from his sins and restoring him to a path of righteousness.

We pray all of this in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus, who has all authority in heaven and on earth. Amen.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
