We join you in lifting up this precious woman before the throne of grace and we bring her health and her mind before the Lord together in Jesus' name.
We are grieved to hear that she was given medicine that was not appropriate for her condition and that it has made her feel sick, and we are also concerned that she was previously prescribed a diabetes medication that was banned in other cities because it caused organ failure. We thank God that He protected her and that through wise choices with diet she was able to recover, for our God is merciful and is our healer. We pray now that the Lord will restore what has been harmed and cleanse her body from any harmful effects.
We are reminded that the Lord reveals Himself as our healer, as it is written Exodus 15:26 I am Yahweh who heals you, and Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We cling also to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask the Father to touch her body, to bring strength to every organ, to settle her stomach and to bring peace to her mind, for He cares for the whole person, body and soul.
We also hear your heart that she would have wisdom, knowledge and understanding to make good choices about which doctors to listen to. While God can and does use physicians for good, as we see Luke the beloved physician mentioned in Colossians 4:14, our ultimate trust is not in man but in the Lord. We pray that God will grant her discernment and that she will seek Him first for wisdom. We are told in James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, and in Proverbs 2:6 For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide her to honest, careful, and competent medical counsel when it is needed, and give her courage to ask questions, to seek a second opinion, and to walk away from counsel that does not bring peace or that seems unsafe. We pray also Proverbs 3:5-6 over her, that she would Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And it is written in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved as Romans 10:9 teaches. We encourage this woman and you to put your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for He bore our sicknesses and sorrows and offers forgiveness, healing, and eternal life to all who call upon Him.
So together we pray.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before You on behalf of this dear woman. Lord, You see her body and how she is suffering from this wrong medication. We ask You to have mercy upon her, to purge from her body anything harmful, to restore her strength, to heal her stomach, her organs, and her mind. Give her peaceful sleep and a sound mind, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as shown in 2 Timothy 1:7. Lord, give her wisdom, knowledge and understanding beyond what man can give. Lead her to trustworthy help if she needs medical care, and protect her from further harm. Help her to walk in discernment, to be a good steward of the body You have given her, and to trust You above all. We pray that through this trial she would draw nearer to You, know the healing power of Jesus, and give You all the glory for her restoration. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage her to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to bring every decision before Him, and to not be afraid to advocate for her own health with gentleness and wisdom. We will continue to stand with you in prayer for her complete restoration.
