We join you in lifting up your father and mother before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing this burden to us so we can seek the Lord together in Jesus name.
We are concerned to hear about your father's suffering with itching and loss of appetite and that his body has turned yellow and the doctors have advised admission to the hospital. This yellowing often points to jaundice and a problem with the liver or bile system and it needs urgent medical care. We urge you to follow the doctors counsel quickly and admit him, trusting that God often works through the wisdom and hands of physicians. We pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors and nurses who will care for him and for strength for you and your family during this difficult time.
We also hear your fear after a bad dream and we want to gently remind you that dreams do not have power over those who belong to Christ. The enemy would use fear to trouble us but our hope is not in dreams, it is in the living God who watches over us. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We rebuke that spirit of fear and anxiety in Jesus name and we declare that no weapon formed against your father shall prosper and that the Lord holds his life in His hands. We pray that God will replace that troubling dream with His perfect peace that passes all understanding.
We rejoice that you desire not only healing but the salvation of your father and mother. That is the greatest need of every heart and we commend you for praying that they will accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to God and have our sins forgiven and receive eternal life, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We pray with you that your parents will hear the good news and believe, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household Acts 16:31. Keep sharing His love with them gently and persistently, for the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9.
We stand on the promises of God as our healer. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. And we claim His promise of long life for those who love Him, With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation Psalm 91:16.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved father to You. You see his discomfort, his itching, his inability to eat, and the yellowing of his body. Lord, touch his body with Your healing hand, restore his liver and every organ to proper function, remove the cause of this illness, restore his appetite and give him relief from itching and pain. Guide the doctors with wisdom to diagnose correctly and treat effectively as he is admitted to the hospital. We pray that You will raise him up and strengthen him and grant him good health and long life according to Your will. We also lift up his mother, we ask You to keep her in good health and peace and to prolong her days as well. Lord, above all we ask for their salvation, open their eyes to see Jesus as Lord and Savior, soften their hearts to receive Your grace and forgive their sins, and bring them into Your family. We cancel any fear brought by that bad dream and we speak Your peace over this family, let no evil have dominion over them. Fill this home with faith and hope and let Your will be done in their lives. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
