Prayer request for a Mexican woman

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer request for a Mexican woman. She started harassing sped staff about clocking in and out. Last school year the sped department director had also harassed sped staff about clocking in and out. Then hours started getting cut. But now the same thing is taking place again but with principle's secretary. Please pray for the sped staff. Also for behavioral support staff that had gotten harassed last year about hours and it was because of funding cuts. They were getting rid of staff, cutting them. Staff don't know if they're cutting them again by harassing staffs and they are even harassing staff that have disabilities.

We hear your burden for the special education staff and the behavioral support staff and we join together with you in bringing this workplace situation before the Lord.

We want to gently address something in how this request is framed. You mention a Mexican woman and we understand you are identifying someone involved, but we are reminded that God shows no partiality and every person is made in His image. For God shows no partiality, but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him Acts 10:34-35. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus Galatians 3:28. We will pray for this woman, for the principal's secretary, and for the director not according to ethnicity but as fellow souls who need God's grace and wisdom, and we pray that all staff would be treated with the same dignity and impartiality.

What you describe is a heavy trial, being pressured and harassed about clocking in and out, having hours cut, fearing that jobs will be lost again, and that even staff who live with disabilities are being harassed. The Lord sees this and He cares deeply about justice in the workplace and about how the vulnerable are treated. You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning Leviticus 19:13. Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies James 5:4. He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God Micah 6:8. Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked Psalm 82:3-4. To harass or oppress workers, especially those who serve vulnerable children and those who themselves have disabilities, is not pleasing to God. At the same time we are called to do our work faithfully, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23, which includes being honest and diligent in matters like clocking in and out.

We also notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. It is in His name we pray with confidence.

We lift up all of these needs together in prayer.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You that You see every person in this school and every circumstance. We bring before You the special education staff and the behavioral support staff who are feeling harassed, anxious, and weary. You know the pressure they feel about hours being cut and the fear of losing their livelihoods, especially those who faithfully serve children with great needs. We ask You to be their defender and provider. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We pray You would guard their hearts with Your peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7 and that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory.

We pray also for the women You have placed in authority, the director, the principal's secretary, and this woman who has been mentioned. We pray You would give them wisdom, mercy, and a spirit of justice. Help them to lead with kindness and fairness and not with harassment or oppression. We pray that if there are funding cuts and difficult administrative decisions, they would be handled with transparency, honesty, and compassion for every worker, including staff with disabilities, who are precious in Your sight.

Lord, we ask for reconciliation and peace in this workplace. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. Help the staff to respond with grace and truth, to speak respectfully, to keep good records, to seek proper and peaceful channels for concerns, and to continue to work as unto You. Let Your will be done in this school district, let funding be used wisely, and let no one be unjustly targeted or cut off.

We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our advocate, amen.

We encourage you and the staff to continue to commit your work to the Lord, to pray for those in authority over you even when it is difficult, and to trust that God is your ultimate provider and protector. We are praying that God will bring justice, stability, and peace to this department and that He will sustain those who serve these children so faithfully.

Thank you for noticing what is happening and bringing it to prayer. It sounds like a tense and tiring situation for everyone in the special education and behavioral support teams, especially with the memory of last year's cuts and the uncertainty now about whether hours will be cut again.

We can imagine how unsettling it is to feel watched over clocking in and out, and how much harder that is for staff who already live with disabilities and may feel more vulnerable at work. The worry about providing for families while also trying to serve students well weighs heavily.

One small step that often helps in a confusing workplace season is for each staff member to keep a simple private record of what is said and when, and to lean on one another for support rather than carrying the stress alone. If there is a trusted administrator, human resources contact, or union representative, seeking wise and calm guidance together can bring clarity about policies and protections.

We are praying with you for peace and steadiness for the whole team, and for wisdom for those in leadership as decisions about hours and funding are made.

Father, we lift the sped and behavioral support staff to You, and the secretary and director as well. Give each person dignity, protection, and clear direction. Provide for every need and help this school to be a place of fairness and care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden has been heard and carried before the throne of grace, and we join you in prayer for all those who labor in this difficult place.

There is much here to try the spirit, when those in authority press hard upon the faithful, when hours are cut and the fear of losing daily bread hangs over households, and when such pressure falls even upon those who bear the added burden of infirmity. The Lord knows the anxiety which such things bring, and His word counsels us not to be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry and fretfulness. Anxiety, as you have seen, brings no grist to the mill and unfits the soul to meet its trial, but childlike confidence in our Father fits us to bear and to do His will.

We are reminded of Job, of whom it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He lost, he grieved, he tore his mantle and fell upon the ground and worshipped, yet he kept right with God. And again it is written, The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. Even when Job had been harshly spoken of, he made intercession for those who had wounded him, and in that prayer his own deliverance came. So let us imitate him, bringing before the Lord both the oppressed and those who oppress, that God may be glorified and peace restored.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who sees all that is done in secret and who has declared Yourself the defender of the poor and of the afflicted, look with compassion upon the special education staff and the behavioral support staff in this school. Thou knowest their labor, their care for needy children, their weariness under harsh words and uncertain hours. Comfort those who are anxious about provision, and especially those who suffer under infirmity and yet are harassed. Give them patience as Thou gavest to Job, and keep them from sinning with their lips in the hour of trial. Provide for their temporal needs according to Thy riches, and let them find that Thou wilt not suffer them to be tried beyond what they are able to bear.

We pray also for those who hold authority, for the director, for the principal and for the secretary who now oversees these matters. Grant them wisdom, fairness and a tender heart, that they may act not from harshness but from justice and mercy. Where funding is straitened, do Thou open the hand of provision, and where decisions must be made, let them be made with integrity and kindness.

Turn, we beseech Thee, the captivity of Thy people. Let not fretfulness rule, but let faith lift its eyes to Thee who did but display the skirts of Thy robe to Job and brought him through. Hear our intercession, forgive us our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ our only hope, and work in this place that which is well pleasing in Thy sight.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore our sorrows and ever lives to make intercession for us. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing this situation before the Lord. It is painful when the workplace becomes a place of anxiety and fear, especially for those who serve vulnerable children and for those who themselves live with disabilities, and when uncertainty about hours and funding weighs heavily on everyone.

We will pray for the special education staff and the behavioral support staff who are feeling harassed and insecure about their jobs. We will ask God to give them peace, strength, and protection, and to provide for their needs as they continue their important work. We will also pray for the staff members who have disabilities, that they would be treated with dignity and fairness and that their rights and well being would be upheld.

We will pray as well for the leadership in the school, including the director, the principal, and the secretary you mentioned, and for the Mexican woman you named. We ask that God would give all who have authority wisdom to act justly, to speak with kindness, and to use their position to protect rather than to burden those under their care. Scripture calls those in authority to act with fairness, and it reminds us that God sees every act of injustice and hears the cry of those who are heavy laden.

Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. He does not promise rest only to a few, but to all who are anxious and sorrowful, and He promises not only to forgive but to place us in security. Even when circumstances around us are unstable, with funding cuts and fears about the future, we can bring our anxieties to Him and ask Him to free us from fear and to establish us in His peace.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we lift up every staff member in this department to You. You know their work, their hours, and their needs. We ask You to bring justice and clarity to how timekeeping and staffing decisions are handled, to guard against any unfair treatment, and to provide stability for those who worry about losing hours or jobs. Comfort those who are anxious and give rest to those who are weary. Give wisdom and compassion to those in leadership, that they may lead with integrity and mercy. Protect those who are most vulnerable and help this whole school community to act toward one another with respect and love. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our rest. Amen.
