Beloved of All
Your cry in the midst of great temptations and hardships has been heard, and we are praying for you before the Lord.
Do not think that these trials mean you are forsaken by God. Scripture shows us that God allowed Abraham to be tested not because He did not know his heart, but to make his faith and courage manifest to all. In the same way, God exercises His own athletes. He could hinder every hardship, but in His wisdom He permits them for your sake, so that you may also contribute something and be made more approved through endurance.
Hear the promise given to all who are tried, that no temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, and God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but with the temptation He will also make the way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it. He gives patience and brings a release, and refers all things to His own faithfulness. Even the hardships that feel overwhelming are brief and measured by His hand, and He will not let them go beyond your strength with His help.
At times God permits a trial and lengthens our supplication not to cast us away, but to draw us closer to Himself, as loving parents allow a fear to arise so that a child will run to their bosom and there abide. So flee to Him now and remain there. Persevere in prayer, even when the answer seems delayed, for by such delay He is teaching us to persevere and to cling to Him continually.
To follow Christ is not only to confess Him with our lips, but to walk the narrow way after Him, which involves toils and dangers. It is not possible to pursue a godly life and not meet tribulation in this world, yet we are not to throw ourselves needlessly into danger, nor to give in when trials come upon us. Pray earnestly that you may not enter into temptation, and if you are led into it, bear it nobly in Christ.
We pray for you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our salvation, have mercy on Your servant in this season of trial. Strengthen faith, grant endurance, and show the way of escape that has been promised. Draw this heart to take refuge in You and to abide there. Deliver from every temptation that would lead away from Your will, and form steadfastness and holiness through this hardship. Grant peace, courage, and a speedy release according to Your wisdom, and let this trial work approval and hope. Amen.
Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, and let us know how you are upheld, so we may continue to bear this burden with you.
