Prayer for those are in need of restoration

Dear Heavenly Father,

I lift up those who have walked through seasons of deep trial, pain, and hardship. You are the God who redeems and restores, and I ask that You would now bring a divine turning point in their lives.

Where there was loss, bring abundance. Where there was sorrow, bring overwhelming joy. I pray that You would restore what was stolen and heal what was broken, granting them double for their trouble and a harvest of blessings for every tear they have shed.

Let Your grace overflow in their lives so that their story becomes a testimony of Your faithfulness and Your power to make all things new.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We join you in lifting up this beautiful prayer for restoration and we agree together for a divine turning point for all those who have walked through seasons of deep trial, pain and hardship.

Our hearts are encouraged by your intercession, for our God is indeed the God who redeems and restores. We are reminded of His promise when He says, I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, Joel 2:25, and again, Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them, Isaiah 61:7. Where there has been loss and sorrow, He promises abundance and joy, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, and He restores our soul, Psalm 23:3.

We know that even in suffering God is working for good, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28. What was meant for harm, what was stolen and broken, He can redeem and use for His glory so that their lives become a testimony of His faithfulness.

We pray together now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up every weary and wounded heart who is in need of restoration. Lord, You see every tear that has been shed and You collect them, You know every loss and every sorrow. We ask that You would bring that divine turning point now. Where there was loss, Father, bring abundance. Where there was sorrow, bring overwhelming joy and everlasting joy. Restore what the enemy has stolen and heal what was broken, according to Your promise, I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. Grant them double for their trouble and let them reap a harvest of blessings. Let Your grace overflow in their lives, and make all things new, for You have said, Behold, I am making all things new, Revelation 21:5. Let their story be a living testimony of Your mercy, Your faithfulness and Your power to redeem. Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and restore to them the joy of Your salvation, Psalm 51:12. We thank You that You are faithful and that Your steadfast love never ceases. We ask all this in the mighty and restorative name of Jesus, Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer for others who have walked through long seasons of pain and loss. It is a beautiful thing to carry others before the Lord and to ask Him to bring a turning point in His way and timing.

We join you in that. We know restoration is often not instant. It is a process where God gently brings healing and renewal as we learn to depend on Him day by day. Your prayer reflects that trust, that God sees every tear and every loss and is able to make things new in the ways only He can.

One simple way to keep carrying this burden is to keep a short list of the names or situations God puts on your heart this week and pray for one or two each day by name. If the Lord brings an opportunity, a brief note to let someone know you are praying for them can be a quiet encouragement as well.

Father, we lift up each person who has known deep trial and sorrow. Draw near to them, bring Your comfort and healing, and lead them step by step into the renewal You have for them. Give them strength for today, wisdom for the next step, and a growing sense of Your faithful care. In Jesus name, Amen.

We join you in bringing this burden before the throne of grace, and we thank God that you have looked to Him who alone can restore and redeem.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed upon the Lord's people together, for when the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, He says as He did to the palsied man, thy sins are forgiven thee. True restoration, therefore, is first to be forgiven and brought back to fellowship with God, and then to be healed in heart and life.

We have seen how Peter after his fall was not left to lie in his dreadful sleep, but was awakened by a look from the Lord Jesus, and when he was converted he was bidden to strengthen his brethren. So we know that the Lord does not wait until we find our own way back, but He comes after His wandering ones. He sent the word, Go tell my disciples and Peter, and when penitence was wrought He restored with a gentleness that comforts rather than crushes. As a bone that has been broken may become stronger after the fracture than it was before, so those whom the Lord restores are often made more tender, more watchful, and more useful in looking after other souls who have been staggered or cast down.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who healest the broken in heart and bindest up their wounds, look in mercy upon all who have walked through seasons of deep trial, pain and hardship. Thou seest every loss and every sorrow, every tear that has been shed in secret. We confess that we have no healing in ourselves, and we ask for that pardon and healing which are found only in Christ Jesus. Forgive sin, and let healing come from Thy pardoning hand. Lift up those who are bowed down, bring back those who have wandered, and grant to each a penitent heart that looks to the blood of Christ and lives.

Where there has been breaking, bring Thou the healing leaves of the tree of life to change the life blood and make the nature new. Make these afflicted ones to know the preciousness of a Saviour's blood, and let their story become a testimony to abundance after a worldly pattern, but to Thy faithfulness to forgive, to restore, and to make all things new in Christ. Call each one to walk humbly, to be found seeking sinners as they themselves were sought, and to serve Thee in whatever calling Thou shalt appoint, whether in quiet faithfulness or open testimony.

We ask this not because we merit it, but because Jesus Christ has borne our sicknesses and carried our sorrows, and in Him alone is salvation. Let Thy grace overflow in lives made whole by Thy mercy, to the glory of Thy great name.

In Jesus name, Amen.
