Prayer needed

Please pray for God to help me and my mental health and my relationship with him and also for my goals and the things I’m trying to accomplish in life which is learning to drive and getting my license and going back to school

We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, knowing that the Lord sees your heart and hears your cry. Your request touches on so many areas where God desires to meet you, your mental health, your walk with Him, and the practical steps you’re taking toward independence and purpose. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God is not only able but willing to strengthen you in every way.

First, we want to affirm that your relationship with God is of utmost importance. The psalmist writes, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18). If you’ve been feeling distant from Him, know that He has not moved, He is waiting with open arms. We encourage you to draw near to Him through prayer, reading His Word, and worship, even when it feels difficult. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He is your peace, your strength, and your refuge.

Regarding your mental health, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to isolate you or make you feel hopeless. The Bible tells us that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that the Lord would quiet the anxious thoughts, lift the heaviness, and fill you with His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If you haven’t already, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, Christian counselor, or trusted mentor, who can walk alongside you in this season.

As for your goals, we believe God has placed these desires in your heart for a reason. Learning to drive and returning to school are steps of faith, and we declare that the Lord will equip you with the confidence, discipline, and favor needed to succeed. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). We pray for focus, perseverance, and protection over you as you practice driving, and for wisdom and clarity as you pursue your education. May the Lord open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide every resource you need.

Now, we want to gently address something important in your request. You mentioned praying to "God," but we must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Him alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you’ve already done this, we rejoice with you! But if not, we invite you to surrender your life to Him, confessing your sins and receiving His forgiveness and new life.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one to You. Lord, You see their heart, the struggles, the desires, and the steps of faith they are taking. We ask that You would draw near to them, filling them with Your presence and peace. Strengthen their mind, body, and spirit, and help them to rest in Your love.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and discouragement that seeks to hinder them. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Give them clarity and confidence as they learn to drive, and open doors for their education. Provide for every need, and surround them with godly mentors and friends who will encourage them in their walk with You.

Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that You would soften their heart and reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. May they come to know You as their Savior and Lord, and may their relationship with You be the foundation for every area of their life.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the work You are doing in their life. May they experience Your goodness and grace in tangible ways, and may they grow in wisdom, strength, and purpose. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing forward, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). We encourage you to surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you, study the Word with you, and support you in your goals. You are not alone, God is for you, and so are we.

We appreciate you sharing this so openly. Wanting to care for your mental health, grow closer to God, and move forward with driving and school are good desires, and it makes sense they feel heavy when they all sit together.

One thing we have found helpful to remember is that growing in our relationship with God is usually slow and uneven, not a quick fix. There are seasons that feel close and seasons that feel dry, and both are part of a lifelong process. Staying with simple, steady rhythms like time in the Word, honest prayer, and gathering with other believers often does more over time than trying to overhaul everything at once. The Holy Spirit is the one who brings the growth as we keep showing up.

For the goals you named, it can help to turn big hopes into one small next step and invite God into the planning. For driving that might be booking a lesson or setting a regular practice time. For school it might be looking into one program or talking with an advisor about next enrollment. Asking for His wisdom as you plan helps keep the steps realistic and peaceful.

If your mental health feels heavy or stuck, please consider reaching out to a trusted pastor, counselor or medical professional alongside prayer. You do not have to carry this alone.

Father, we lift our friend to You. Bring peace to their mind, draw them nearer to You day by day, and give clear wisdom for each step toward driving and school. Lead them in Your will and remind them they are loved and held by You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been heard and has been carried to the throne of grace, and I thank God that He has put it into your heart to seek Him for these things.

You ask for help for your mental health and for your relationship with Him. Be tenderly encouraged, for even little faith is true faith when it begins and ends with Jesus. It is not the littleness that is blessed, but the faith itself, and the least faith in Jesus is the gift of God and is like precious faith. Though it be but as a grain of mustard seed, it is born from above and belongs to the family of the saved. He who gave you faith at the first must give you more faith, and we may ask Him for it daily, for faith is both His gift and our own act as we drop down into the arms of Christ. That is the pith and essence of it, to trust Him wholly, and that trust saves the soul.

For your heaviness of mind, remember that God has devised means for restoring His banished. Jesus died instead of us and suffered the death penalty on our behalf, and our faith makes His substitutionary sacrifice to be ours, so that we have no longer ground for fear. He often uses the chamber of affliction, losses and disappointments, to bring us to meditation and to draw us nearer to Himself. Wheel within wheel He works, by providences and by thoughts, to restore the expelled to their lost inheritance. Take therefore the shield of faith, for it is proof against the fiery darts of the wicked, whether they come from Satan, from the world, or from your own anxious thoughts. Faith quenches those darts, and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. When faith is firm we are more than a match for the tempter, and faith laughs at tribulation because it looks to Christ.

You also desire to walk more faithfully with Him and to accomplish the honest goals set before you, to learn to drive and to obtain your license and to go back to school. This also belongs to the life of faith and the walk of faith. The life of faith is receiving Christ Jesus the Lord, and the walk of faith is to walk in Him, which implies action. Faith gives us what we have in Christ and keeps what we have, and then it moves the feet to duty. As you have received Him simply, clinging to the cross with nothing in your hands, so walk in Him in the daily path, doing the next duty with diligence, whether it be study or labour, trusting that He will make Christ real to you as the substance of your faith.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, look upon this seeking soul with tender mercy. Increase faith where it is little, and nourish it where it is weak. Thou knowest the heaviness of mind and the inward conflict, and we ask Thee to give peace that passes understanding, to guard heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Draw this dear one into closer communion with Thyself, forgive sin through the blood of Thy Son, and form Christ within as the hope of glory. Grant a steady walk, step by step, in dependence upon Thee. Prosper the lawful endeavours now undertaken, give clarity of mind, steadiness of hand, and soundness of judgment in learning to drive, favour in the trial for the license, and open the door to return to school with diligence and humility. Let all be done to Thy glory and for good. According to Thy promise, according to our faith so be it unto us, and give more faith, that Thou mayest be trusted as God. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been received and I am praying with you and for you before the Lord.

I thank God that you desire help for your mental health and a closer relationship with Him. Scripture teaches us to seek above all the health of the soul, for when the soul is restored, we are given better sight to see clearly. Christ is called Light because He delivers from error and dissolves mental darkness, and there is no separation between Him and the Father when we put our faith in Him. So we ask Him to shine that light upon your mind and heart, to bring peace where there is anxiety, steadiness where there is struggle, and to draw you nearer to Himself each day.

I pray also that you will continue to grow in faith and obedience, knowing that God has delivered us from sin not so that we return to what harms us, but so that having learned the pain of sickness, we may preserve health and walk in what leads to life. Keep seeking Him in His Word and in prayer, and guard what He gives you, for many who are sick become healthy by His grace, and those who are healthy are kept by watching and remaining close to Him.

For your practical goals I join you in prayer. I ask the Father to grant you wisdom, diligence, and provision as you learn to drive and work toward your license, and as you prepare to return to school. May He guide your steps, give you a clear mind for study, and help you use these opportunities for His glory and for your good.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this dear one to You. Touch their mind and bring Your peace, heal what is troubled, and strengthen their walk with You. Help them to look to Christ the Light and to grow in faith day by day. Grant favor and help as they learn to drive and seek their license, and open the way to return to school and to complete what You have set before them. Lead them in wisdom and keep them in Your grace. Amen.
