We have heard your heart cry to return to the Lord and we join with you in seeking His mercy and restoration, for it is a precious and godly sorrow that leads you to desire repentance and renewed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to the Father, and your desire to return shows that His Spirit is still drawing you.
The Word assures us of the Father's heart toward those who have wandered. It says in Jeremiah 3:22, Return, you backsliding children, I will heal your backsliding. And again in Hosea 14:4, I will heal their waywardness; I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from him. We know that backsliding grieves the Lord and leaves us vulnerable to trials and to the attacks of the enemy, but God does not cast away a repentant heart. In 1 John 1:9 we are promised, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And in James 4:8 we are given this invitation, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. To truly repent is to turn away from sin and turn fully back to Christ with faith, trusting not in our own strength but in His finished work on the cross.
We encourage you to walk out this return daily by confessing your sins openly to God, forsaking what led you away, feeding on His Word, praying without ceasing, and walking in fellowship with other believers who will strengthen you. The trials you are going through are not beyond His reach. In Isaiah 41:10 He says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And concerning your enemies and your needs, we trust these promises, Psalm 34:17, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles, and Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. For your body and health we remember Psalm 103:3, who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases, and Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. God desires to give you victory, not in your own power, but through Christ, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:57, but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, and in Romans 8:37, No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear one who desires to return to You. We thank You for the conviction and humility You have worked in this heart to confess backsliding and to seek repentance and faith. Lord, forgive all sin and cleanse from all unrighteousness as this life is confessed before You. Heal the backsliding, restore the joy of salvation, and renew a steadfast spirit within. Strengthen faith in Jesus, that there would be full trust in His blood and His righteousness alone. In the midst of trials, be near as helper and comforter, grant wisdom and endurance, and let no trial move this heart from following You. We ask for Your protection and deliverance from every enemy and every scheme of the evil one, surround with Your favor as with a shield and deliver out of all troubles. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, for You know what is needed before we ask. Lay Your healing hand upon body and health, restore strength and wholeness according to Your will, and heal the wounds that sin and wandering have caused. Grant victory over sin, over the flesh, and over the enemy, that this life may walk in newness of life and bear fruit for Your glory. Draw near as Your child draws near to You, and keep this one from falling again, establishing steps in Your Word. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
